Another crazy penalty decision.
Time to scrap VAR and the people who keep changing the rules.

It's not VAR it's a stupid rule that's at fault.

Not the referees fault though, they're just paid to implement the rules set from above. Agree with everyone though it's a crazy penalty

You’ll get people starting to try and hit the ball against people’s arms. Crazy.
Re: Today’s footy / handball rule
they Are taking away the opportunity for the refs to apply common sense to penalty decisions, football bureaucrats are setting the rules by which the game is being played

This is what happens when everyone cries out for consistency. It's stupid but it's definitely consistent.

Spot on. Absolutely ridiculous - it's going to be far easier to aim for someone's arm right in front of you than create a goal in the time-honoured fashion!Granny WeatherWax wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2020 4:07 pmYou’ll get people starting to try and hit the ball against people’s arms. Crazy.

Why is it a ridiculous comment, if its going to be an automatic penalty?
Pretty obvious players are going to do it.

Re: Today’s footy / handball rule
Absolutely ruining the game from a spectator viewpoint BUT! the TV Companies will love it as it gives them something to talk about even when the game has been crap.....especially in games where Moanrinho is involved.
I'll keep using streams rather than renew my Sky Sports subscription until the game is returned to normal, that an going to non league games locally.

Foden totally anonymous for the first 30 minutes but it's not noticed because of the great players around him. That's why we have to give Dwight some leeway, all the pressure is on him.

Jamie Vardy awarded a penalty because Kyle Walker put his hands on him and he hit the deck. When oh when oh when will officials in this country start being consistent?

I usually watch most if not all the games, today I turned the TV on 5 mins ago so I'll catch the 2nd half of the City game, the more this nonsense carries on the quicker I'll find something else to do and stick to non-league. Game at the top level is diabolical

Vardy gets a pen for exactly the same challenge as wood's.
Re: Today’s footy / handball rule
Amazing what a bit of pace does for a team especially when you keep the ball on the floor. Not that any of them two things are relevant to Burnley

Am I alone in getting fed up of watching players I. E. Vardy and Kane who fall over in the penalty area every time someone touches them? It’s cheating really isn’t it?

It shows what kind of mentality you have if you go out of your way to cheat!

Thats our problem , we're not going to start now! Well apart from the pub player Barnes! If he's not hitting his opponent or row z he's usually hitting the deck!
Re: Today’s footy / handball rule
Having not adequatley replaced Company - who often held them together - City could well use Tarks. So could United. Oh a bidding war!!! We could take Phil Jones - for now.

City need a defensive coach, someone like Dyche for example.
