Maybe we can beat BOTH of them if Tarky -plays?Granny WeatherWax wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 3:51 pmid prefer to lose to city without him if it means we can beat Newcastle with him
I'm really not into this idea of 'Throwing' Cup games for the greater good.
I've seen some bloody marvelous Cup games on the Turf and away from home, over the years, and I'd like to see some more.

Never been a better time to play City beset by injuries and down to the bare bones.
According to Pep and the pundits that is.

Re: ARTICLE: Tarkowski touch and go for cup tie
I don’t think we should get too excited by these comments. There’s a game of cat and mouse being played out by the two clubs. Burnley are upping the ante by sending out messages that the player is on the verge of a comeback, whilst Leicester are indicating that they have turned their attention to other targets.
IMO the clearest sign that JT is on his way will be if he plays no part in the cup-tie - because if the manager is serious about including him at the weekend he would at least give him a run-out from the bench tomorrow.
We are involved in a game of brinkmanship. Leicester want the player - no question - Burnley want the maximum fee. A deal will happen and who blinks first will decide the terms.
The manager has no option but to play the game in response to questions from the media but is clearly distancing himself from the inevitable result.

Bid for Fofana from Leicester has been accepted. I can't see them wanting both.IWOODLOVETT wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 5:31 pmI don’t think we should get too excited by these comments. @RobDorsettSky
#lcfc have made an offer for Wesley Fofana in a deal which could see them pay a fee up to £30m for him, with add ons. St Etienne not responded yet, but are considering it.
Can't see them bidding for him AND JT

@NicoSchira
Done deal! Wesley #Fofana has agreed personal terms with #Leicester for 5-year contract. #Foxes will pay €35M + €5M as add-ons to #SaintEtienne. #transfers #LCFC

Re: ARTICLE: Tarkowski touch and go for cup tie
Just seeing those names in print shows you how much stronger we'll be when they all return, hopefully sooner rather than later.randomclaret2 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 5:42 pmTarkowski, Mee, Cork, JBG, Brady, Jayrod and Barnesy will be like new signings
This is the problem facing SD and MG, any new signings we make have to be better, or at least equivalent to what we have currently.
It's fine and dandy bringing in 3/4 new faces, but if they can't offer genuine competition to our regulars, then we'll face the prospect of another Gibson situation.

Re: ARTICLE: Tarkowski touch and go for cup tie
I'd like to see him as part of the match day squad even if he is to be rested for the weekend, just to send a signal that he is part of our plans for this season.
Re: ARTICLE: Tarkowski touch and go for cup tie
He is part of our plans up until the 5th October
After that - who knows

Re: ARTICLE: Tarkowski touch and go for cup tie
Grazing is he???
Re: ARTICLE: Tarkowski touch and go for cup tie
If Tarkowski and the other 6 injured players are still not fit enought to be in tonight's squad then I make that just 12 senior players fit and available.
If so do we have 6 young 'uns available for selection?

Re: ARTICLE: Tarkowski touch and go for cup tie
My Mum was forever saying "you've got more chance of hell freezing over" I think we can apply that to Tarky playing tonight. It seems to me that Dyche isn't very good at telling porkies and he is getting himself in a tangle.
