30m Torres trying to impress so he can get into their first team. How has it got to the point where a 30m player isn't a sure starter?

Blah. McNeil didn't spot the run until too late. 0-1 to them. Easy, simple goal.

Some interesting ‘fouls’ so far, I’d have given none of them.

Re: Tonight's Lineup
I’m sure most of us have played in these games where you’re without the ball all game and it feels like they’ve 2 extra players. Soul destroying. One thing I don’t miss about playing

Strange how we seem to play better against Liverpool and they are a far better side.Burnley1989 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 30, 2020 7:46 pmI’m sure most of us have played in these games where you’re without the ball all game and it feels like they’ve 2 extra players. Re: Tonight's Lineup
Man City are, in my opinion, the biggest cheats in the EPL. Every tackle involves the use of the arm.

Re: Tonight's Lineup
Always the same against city. I genuinely thought we'd go at them a bit more tonight but it's the usual, sit back and allow them to attack while hopefully winning a free kick that gives us a chance to score from a free kick. We can get away with it against most teams but city thrive off being given possession and room to play.

Re: Tonight's Lineup
He said something like '******* foul the ref'.
We could have had two penalties and haven't played badly really.
They look in a different class as usual but their defence and keeper don't look confident at all.

Re: Tonight's Lineup
few points:
Peacock-Farrell is definitely good enough
We are much stronger with Tarkowski
Barnes is a weapon, and I mean that in the nicest sense of the word
McNeil should've had a penalty
Taylor should've had a penalty
De Bruyne is the best player in the world at the moment (IMO)
Sterling has Sensible Soccer legs when he runs

Re: Tonight's Lineup
Taylor is a definite pen. 100% given if it were reversed.
McNeils looked softish but again good chance of being given if reversed.

Re: Tonight's Lineup
Played ok. You can see the difference in confidence in the team. Though that goal should have been dealt with earlier.

Re: Tonight's Lineup
I didn't think that was too bad when you consider who we're up against.
Evenly matched re injuries, so I think we're doing OK.
Thought maybe Tarky could have done a bit better for the goal but otherwise he's had a good game. Taylor very good again.
Nice to see Barny back. I called him out 'Battering Ram' the other day and strangely, the commentator said the same tonight.
