We need WBA to lose - they're currently going to be in the fight for survival with us.

Bit surprised by West Ham, thought they were going to have a hard season after the game against Newcastle but they seem to have steadied the ship.

West Ham winning 3-0 now at Leicester . They have been under pressure in the second half but they defended as a unit, like we used to, then they hit the Foxes on the counter.
Re: today’s footy (Sunday)
West Brom and Fulham look doomed already. Can we find another team to finish above? I'm not sure this year.

Re: today’s footy (Sunday)
Got to take your hat off to West Ham. Have invested in coaching/management team-Moyes/Irvine/Pearce/Dicks.Their tactics today from kick-off have been absolutely first class, and easy winners over one of the PL's best clubs. And this with Moyes in quarantine through COVID
Then I think back at last night's tactics. The usual SD look round and natter with Woan when things are going bad who hardly ever seems to move or speak, but continues by nodding and chewing gum
We really are behind in so many aspects of being successful in the PL

Jarrod Bowen seems to have handled the step up from Championship to the PL.

Roll back a few weeks and would you have said the same thing when Newcastle beat West Ham?
The way you go on it's as though we have achieved nothing in the Premier league and everyone has been far better than us ever since we got promoted.

Could of done with the Southampton game being a draw to keep them just 4 points in front not 6 .

Re: today’s footy (Sunday)
It’s not just the Clarets who don’t get any coverage - Sky have Arsenal vs Sheff U and from at least an hour before it was all about Arsenal then it was an interview with Maguire re Man U then the pundits talked about Man U even though they don’t kick off until 1630 talked to Wolves manager then it was back to Arsenal and then 2 mins before KO they give a quick interview with Chris Wilder
I have really lost interest in the Premier all the teams are stuffed with foreign players except Sheff U and us.

Re: today’s footy (Sunday)
How does David Luis get away with pulling somebody's shirt. The commentator even says the player should have gone down dramatically. If it had been an Arsenal player the Sheffield defender would have been dismissed. It's absolutely disgusting.

Re: today’s footy (Sunday)
I think Sheffield United will struggle this year, and I'd also expect Brighton and Palace to be down there. There appears to be fewer really poor teams this time around, and the top teams are getting their act together slowly. I expect Man United, Chelsea and arsenal will all be harder to take points off this season. It's going to be really difficult. Hopefully the wheels will fall off for someone like Leeds or Southampton, but it doesn't feel likely

Sheffield United are, so far, putting in the sort of performance we needed to do last night. I hope they do continue to struggle this season but I think Wilder will sort them out.willsclarets wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 3:02 pmI think Sheffield United will struggle this year, and I'd also expect Brighton and Palace to be down there. Re: today’s footy (Sunday)
Sander Berge for £27m has looked absolutely terrible business in his time thus far. Strolls around in midfield offering very little bar his considerable height.
McBurnie, another £20m joke of a signing and I am of the opinion Brewster will do very little also.
Super ‘Chrissy’ Wilder has done so well on his budget.

How different the result might have been if Luis had got a red for the shirt pull.

Brentford suffering a play-off final defeat hangover it seems.
2 goals up and now 2-4 down to Preston.
You beat me to it ElectroClaret

Re: today’s footy (Sunday)
Not saying any of the sort Spijed-I like your imagination. Like many genuine Burnley fans absolutely gutted at the way we seem to be surrendering our PL status, and the total lack of respect for the fans through a lack of transparency. If you read my posts I am very pro SD and the club and you will see me stating the club through him have achieved miracles by way of two promotions and 5 successive games in the PL
I was admiring the turn round at West Ham. I have watched a lot of games on TV since the re-start. That performance v Leicester I hold very high. They absolutely outplayed a side that only last week mauled the favorites to win the Champions League. I saw a real camaradery in the coaching staff that obviously rubs off on the players, and since the arrival of Stuart Pearce have tightened up at the back
Did you not see the lack of confidence last night in Pope, Taylor, Tarks, Wood, Long and a few others against an average side-this to me has a lot to do with something not right with SD who must have gone through hell lately. At times Spijed, if we are true football fans we have to acknowledge some of the good things our rivals do and maybe learn from them. Thats how companies and clubs get better

Like making the uncomfortable decision to get rid of a manager who seems stale, set in his ways, unable to adapt, noticeably disgruntled and seems unable to motivate his team?warksclaret wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 4:25 pmNot saying any of the sort Spijed-I like your imagination.
