How do we let Garlick know?
Is he just taking the mick because he knows there will be no fans in the ground to tell him exactly what we think?
How do we get the message across that the guy is finished at the club and has lost any last shred of respect with fans?

For 1 I’ve no issue with him not wanting to spend what little money we have on over priced players. Dyche needs to think outside of the box a bit.

A team that over achieves, a manager that brings together players that otherwise wouldn't be playing at this level, coaches working hard to get the best out of those players....and a chairman that has massively under performed in player recruitment for at least 3 or 4 years. He has shown no respect to fans with any real explanation, just excuses and whining.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 7:58 pmMaybe explain why you don't, then we can pick it apart.
We are solely reliant on a management team that is keeping our club way above what could be seen as a pipe dream for most fans and yet is being shat on by a chairman that repeatedly pissies on their bonfire.

Given he owns over 49% of the shares just how do you work out he is finished at the club. If, or when, he decided to be finished with the club then let us hope that he retains sufficient good will to the club - and, by extension, it's fans - to make sure he sells his stake to someone else who will care for the club and not a buyer such as the people who bought Wigan, Bury, Bolton etcburnley007 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 7:53 pmHow do we get the message across that the guy is finished at the club

1 and 2 were clearly at Dyche’s recommendation.
We can easily debate that it was Dyche that delivered the five straight years.
The disabled facilities had to be done and probably wouldn’t have been had there not been rules put in place (they’ve been complained about for years).
The season ticket prices are probably set at what is perceived to be the optimum level between take up and income.
What seems to be clear is that Garlick is holding too much control on areas that embedded should allow his experts to do the jobs for which they are well paid.
If the lack of budget information is anything like correct, he’s ****** up good and proper.

Without his prudence how would the club pay for all the improvements etc?
It's been a great partnership, Garlick & Dyche but people attributing all the credit to Dyche is belittling Garlicks efforts to ensure the club is ran in a sustainable manner.
Garlick has backed Dyche for years now and Dyche has operated within the clubs financial boundaries with little grumbling until recently.
Yes the improved disabled facilities had to be done, but the money was available why?
Yes the Academy and Training ground but the money was available why?
Dyche had kept us in the PL and Garlick had ensured the money was available.
Someone sitting here saying they've zero respect because of transfers are dismissing all of the other things.

Maybe just appreciate the fact that we are poorest club in this league by a significant amount. Get behind the team and stop complaining.
Re: How do we let Garlick know?
Using only what I know to be factual it would appear to me that Burnley FC have committed football suicide. Only 3 months ago we were an established successful mid table PL team. We had time and money to ensure another season of success and profit. We used neither which takes us to where we are today. I have no idea why the club has decided to take the long and slippery slope to the lower reaches of the Football world. There could be many reasons but usually to solve any mystery you should just follow the money UTC

It’s not garlick. It’s not dyche. It’s the pair of them.
Both need to iron out their differences. Have a joined up approach. Back their players. Work together. And get on with it.
That said. Its also **** poor that we have brought in one player this window. We needed three or four even before we lost Lennon, hart, Hendrick, Gibson and coming. That’s at least £150k a week saved in wages alone.

Dyche's management is undeniably a big part of 5 successive seasons and he has been suitably well remunerated for it over the past 7 years as well as having a security of tenure almost unprecedented at Premier League level despite a relegation and some awful football at times. Many a PL manager would have been sacked after that Boxing Day defeat by Everton, for instance.
Disabled facilities I grant you were something forced upon us by legislation.
When we were able to we filled the home section on over half the games so it would have been reasonable to increase prices several times.
Garlick is the owner and Chairman and can therefore pick and choose who he trusts and how much control he keeps for himself - but no-one really knows which experts he allows "to do the jobs for which they are well paid". I presume he does just that after setting the business parameters that have to be adhered to by those experts, which is the case in all areas of business and life.

One thing is sure though, Dyche bitching in the press does nothing to bring us all together.

Replaced Gibson (non-player) with a lad from U23s .
don't forget these two did absolutely nothing last season except draw a wage.
Could easily include Benson in the matchday squad, it's not that often that Sd uses subs tactically.
There you go, problem almost solved,
And then there's Dale Stephens.

Re: How do we let Garlick know?
No one is going to take us over if we look a danger to go down, so on that basis if Garlick is in for the gains then it’s in his interest that we stay in the EPL.
Go and look at the accounts and tell me where the cash is to buy the type of player we normally go for.
Got to be give and take on both sides.
Re: How do we let Garlick know?
MG has always been risk averse, and he knows that with the upcoming TV rebates and lack of match day income, BFC will be struggling to balance the books.
If you look at what MG has done, he has let go of some of our best paid players (due to their experience) to reduce the wages paid out, and at the same time expanded our investment in the youth strategy. If (or when) we do go down, we will sell our biggest assets and then build from the U23's. He will probably require a new manager to follow that route.
I don't like it, but we shouldn't be surprised by his strategy, it is the path of financial prudence he has followed all along. Now, if we want to retain our Premier League status, we need a new crew at the helm.

Re: How do we let Garlick know?
Many of the things being stated as having been achieved outside of the team, have only been possible through a manager who has gained us 2 promotions and 6 years of PL survival, bringing in over £800m at a guess and a place in Europe. This with a team of at best competent PL players, with a max spend of £15m on any one player. Please tell me a manager who has ever managed in the PL that has achieved as much with our spend, Not even Guardiola could have achieved this, We may lack the the flair of many clubs but our work ethic, organisation and our ability to manage games is now talked about by every pundit. Its hard to change tactics with the team we have. Remember the only club to take a point at Anfield. We could play the open expansive football the Owen Coyle way, and even he got more to spend than SD in the last 18 months. But we would not survive the PL
As lifelong fans it would be nice to know whats going on. Its made staying up almost an impossibility. Many fans on here believe history will repeat itself. Anyone believing we will keep the same number of clean sheets, and the same number of wins, or even close, is living in cuckoo land
I know SD has his faults , but there is no guessing how any one of us would react on SKY when you are as frustrated as he is

Totally acceptable, however every pundit, and fan are shouting loud from the roof tops, back your manager. If we didn't have the last 5 ears those U23's would not be here and so we need to progress to improve that. I fear if we drop to the Championship, we have players on 1 year contracts about to run out that will be snapped up on a free as we are relatively poor even by Championship standards, and why would any decent U21 not move to a better stated ground?Steddyman wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 8:52 pmMG has always been risk averse, and he knows that with the upcoming TV rebates and lack of match day income, BFC will be struggling to balance the books.

Look around, compare, and listen to the professionals. Dyche has been hung out to dry and when our club falls through trap doors (plural) remember that is because MG did not agree with speculate to accumulate.
