Re: England vs Wales
Looks like there will be quite a few changes.
Certainly doesn't look the most enticing team.

I'm not enthused at all with this manager, his selection or his approach.
I'll be watching purely to check on Pope and any other former or future clarets that may play.

Re: England vs Wales
Probably the only thing more painful than watching Burnley at the moment.
I'll watch the first 10, is Bale playing?

Bale is injured. Not sure he's even training for Spurs yet.Burnley1989 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 12:14 pmProbably the only thing more painful than watching Burnley at the moment.

Re: England vs Wales
Will be watching the Irish game in Slovakia .
Not sure how this will pan out but when it comes to making a balls of it nobody does it better than we do .
0-0 go's to pens both side miss 11 each and the Irish win it on the toss of a coin .

Re: England vs Wales
I was going to remark that they couldn't do worse than the U21's, but then again ....
Re: England vs Wales
I’ve only just come out of the England induced coma, caused by their last 2 games, but if Nick Pope starts I’ll have to watch!

Re: England vs Wales
Great if he does but I think I'd rather be on the bench than in goal behind Maguire and Gomez. A real hiding to nothing.

Could be a chance to throw a few world class saves into his performance due to their defending.TheFamilyCat wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 1:43 pmGreat if he does but I think I'd rather be on the bench than in goal behind Maguire and Gomez. A real hiding to nothing.

Listening to Southgate last night, I would think Pope will start and Henderson will come on for the second half. He's still in the Pickford supporters camp!

Having given up watching both the Iceland and Denmark games. Half time and 20 minutes accordingly. We were that bad. I can't see myself tuning in.

Four current or ex clarets in that lineup ... I never thought I’d see that.FactualFrank wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 6:27 pmPredicted/Rumoured Lineup: Pope; Gomez, Coady, Keane; Trippier, Phillips, Winks, Saka; Ings, Calvert-lewin, Grealish.

Never heard of 8 of that Welsh starting XI.
Re: England vs Wales

I think was the game starts we'll see Keane at the back with Gomez and Coady pushed further forward in a DM position behind Philips and Winks.DomBFC1882 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 7:38 pmWhat the hell is Michael keane doing in centre mid .

Re: England vs Wales
The game is on in the other room and every time I'm about to go through and sit down, it's bloody adverts.
10 minutes until KO... time for another 3 lots of the buggers yet.

Re: England vs Wales
You can tell I've not watched England for a year or so, I've backed us to win at least 3-0 with an Ings goal.

Re: England vs Wales
The singing of the anthem is embarrassing!!!
Re: England vs Wales
Isn’t it just embarrassing. Every player should be belting it out
Re: England vs Wales
Could hardly see their mouths moving!!
Re: England vs Wales
From that squad choice you criticise the singing as embarrassing?
