You have to look at tonights game to realise how awful recruitment has been over the years
4 playing for England
Assist for Iceland
Win for NI

He also played 60 minutes, which hopefully shows he's back on the road to full fitness.

Re: Tonight’s internationals
If you mean we once had Kieran Trippier at right back and Michael Keane in the centre and now we've got Matt Lowton and Kevin Long, then I fully support your point.Burnleyareback2 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 10:57 pmYou have to look at tonights game to realise how awful recruitment has been over the years

Re: Tonight’s internationals
I'm fairly sure that we had 3 in the N. Ireland team at the same time - McIlroy, Elder and Irvine. It could even have been 4 as Sammy Todd also played for N. Ireland around the same time.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 1:43 amgenuine question - what is the most number of Internationals we've had in a first team squad ?
Re: Tonight’s internationals
This... not that we should be expecting players of Keane and Trippier's current ability in our side, but the strategy was always to have players who can progress to that level.
In Lowton and Long this is most definitely not the case.

Sure that has happened more recently with, Duff, Lafferty & Jones

Did we have Walters, Ward, Long, Brady all in the squad once? Must have been fairly closeVegas Claret wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 1:43 amgenuine question - what is the most number of Internationals we've had in a first team squad ?
