I’ve knocked it on the head for the foreseeable without setting any limits, some people do the October & binge through November & onwards especially with the run up to Xmas, I think it’s important to take 1 day at a time without thinking about it.

Me and Mrs Macca doing it.

Not sure if it's been easier or harder to do having been placed in isolation for 14 days.

Both our birthdays are late Sept, one being a big one, so you can imagine the amount of alcohol we have in the house at the moment.

Suppose the test will be when "normal life" resumes and we are free to do what we like.

I haven't had a drink since 27th Sept so technically I suppose I am participating, albeit unintentionally.

I've given up the news for October.
Trump's immunity preach was the last straw.
Manage to cut all TV news Radio news and listening to much more music, getting more work done, feeling more happy and fulfilled.
I still sense things aren't going too well out there, but no greater or less restrictions will affect my movements based on common sense.

I don't miss regularly drinking booze, I can go 6mths to a year without drinking nowadays and it's fine with me.

No, but then again I’ve done months with no booze. If I want one I will, if I don’t I won’t.

Take it or leave it. I guess it's another money making charity occasion/event. I've already pledged money to someones cause.

No, things are depressing enough at the moment without being unable to enjoy a beer.

I usually do this in January. October has Canadian Thanksgiving, my birthday, and Halloween, so I’d have to be very dedicated.

I’m fine with it but it annoys me when folk judge others because they do have a drink, every single persons life and personal circumstances are different, you’ve one life, so live it. I’d never do anything because I felt other people were judging me.

I’ve gone 4-6 weeks without a beer but I have drink because after a week at work I enjoy 4-5 pints on a Friday after I’ve been to the gym and had my tea.

Not a chance, drinking in moderation isn't unhealthy and supports lots of jobs.

Just do everything in moderation then you don’t need to give up ‘excesses’ for a period of time. If you can’t enjoy a drink without getting plastered then there’s an issue.

Barring a couple of days off through illness, I have had a minimum of one bottle of beer a night for at the very least 5 years.
I never get drunk.
I have no intention to change

I bet it’s at least a couple of months since my last pint. Can’t see where the next one is coming from at the moment, more than likely 2021.

I did 11 weeks dry during lockdown and didn't find it difficult.

I was jumping out of bed each morning like a medium-aged gazelle.

If you can’t not have drink in 4 weeks, maybe is time to admit that you have a drink problem

Hand firmly in the air, I admit I enjoy a well earned beer after work and a bottle of red at the weekend to chill out. Problem ?

Its not that simple for some people, some people can abstain for months I can, but for some people coming off the drink can bring them more problems than remaining on it, admitting something is only the start, if you read the doctors opinion at alcoholics anonymous you might understand it can be complicated.
