I honestly didn't even realise we were playing, shows how much attention I take to the football these days. Will probably win, we always do in qualifiers . I wont be watching though

Re: England
I honestly think we'll win again and play well but it's just not good enough and Southgate should go. It's about time we went back to a manager who knows how to lose as this winning lark is no good and just depressing us all #bringbackMcClaren

Re: England
England will win easily enough tonight, but for all the attacking talent we supposedly possess, the last few games have been a dull slog, and I include the Belgium win amongst them, admittedly if that had been in a major tournament the whole country would be jumping for joy.
The bigger worry for me is England's defence it still doesn't convince when under pressure, although I'm glad Coady is picked alongside Maguire, if England are to enjoy success next summer it's vital that a good centre back pairing is formed, and Coady hasn't put a foot wrong in his brief England career thus far.
100th cap for Eriksen tonight and he'll be out to impress on his former home turf.
Maitland-Niles and James start for full debuts, it looks like Gareth is assessing his whole squad well he can, and this makes sense because you never know who'll he'll need to call on in the Euro's if injuries bite.
Pope & Ings on the bench, Keane & Tripps not even in the squad, so little Claret interest tonight.
Daft yellow for Maguire, and he was lucky it was only a yellow.

This is what happens when you play a load of players out of form. Terrible penalty decision though.

Re: England
I can have sympathy for GS with the defenders he has at his disposal but he has a host of talented attackers and they produce sweet fa. Not up to the job, his lucky run at the World Cup has glossed over too many failures.

Re: England
I doubt Kermit & Co would be too happy being compared to that pair of clowns, Walker hardly covered himself in glory in the penalty incident either.
This keystone cop defending is why England will be nowhere near the business end of a major tournament any time soon.
Clearly the Belgium win was a flash in the pan, as many expected at the time, back down to earth with a bump tonight.

Boring stale shite, thatβs what happens when you pick badly out of form players.

Re: England
Easy penalty decision. The boot on the ankle inside the penalty area . As easy decision he will ever make.
Slab head. Well. Words fail me.
Lucky for the first , second was like he had concrete in his head.
Playing better with 10 tbf

Re: England
If you have a lot of really exciting attacking talent but a very poor defence and goalkeeper, do you;huw.Y.WattfromWare wrote: βWed Oct 14, 2020 8:27 pmI can have sympathy for GS with the defenders he has at his disposal but he has a host of talented attackers and they produce sweet fa. A.) Pick more very poor defensive players to give additional protection to the very poor defence, or;
B.) Play to your strengths by picking on-form attacking players and aim to score more goals than the other side?

Maguire having a bad start to the season and lacking confidence- so how dense do you need to be to pick him for England Gareth
