Command & Conquer
I know it's sad, but I was wondering if there was anyway I could play the original games on a Windows 10 laptop?
I know there are a few techies out there!

This suggests it might help, although I've not read past the beginning. See if it helps: https://answers.ea.com/t5/C-C-The-Ultim ... -p/5908099

Re: Command & Conquer
They recently re released the games remastered . I'd buy this: https://www.ea.com/games/command-and-co ... cale=en-us
It's still the original, they just improved the graphics and videos and modernized it to work well on new systems.

Re: Command & Conquer
Being without work over the summer, I found an online version of 'Z', and completed that.
Great game from the 90s and brought back memories. Plenty of other retro games online free to play, but the mrs had other ideas with my time, and now I have to work

Re: Command & Conquer
Used to play red alert PS1 network link, two PS1s, two fat TVs next to each other with my mate. Good times. It became a slideshow.
Was good because red alert came with two discs for each side, so you could play network link without having to buy two games
Tesla coils were the best thing in the game imo

Re: Command & Conquer
Sorry to be a bit slow but will it work on a laptop?
Re: Command & Conquer
Should do. You can many older games on Steam for a couple of quid via Ebay etc and other sites such as G2A.
I got Just Cause 2 (2010) for less than £2 recently and it plays both on my 2014 laptop and current PC.

Re: Command & Conquer
I wish they would remaster old FIFA games and management games. Premier manager 98 and FIFA 97 remastered would be class.

The collection has just been remastered and released this summer.CaptainKirk wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2020 3:14 pmI know it's sad, but I was wondering if there was anyway I could play the original games on a Windows 10 laptop?

Edit: I've just launched it and its just Command and Conquer and Command & Conquer Red Alert, but tbh they're they only two worth playing.
Another edit: in hindsight I don't recommend this. Just get an EA Play subscription for either 4 quid a month, or 20 quid a year and you can play more of the C&C games through that. I'll probably refund this purchase.
Also, **** EA.

Re: Command & Conquer
I think all games on Steam will play on any laptop as long as its a Windows or mac os laptop. And not something like a chrome book.
After that requirement is met its down to you laptops specs, but any modern spec'd system will play C&C

I've had the collection on Origin for years when it became a digital download - classics.

Re: Command & Conquer
Talk about being useless with computers.
I managed, via a live help box, to get it going today and spent an hour or so getting back into it.
Came back later and cannot get it to load. I know it's in there somewhere!!!
