Hair dye...

Post by Mala591 » Fri Oct 16, 2020 11:59 pm

Would you/do you dye your hair to make you look/feel younger?

Most women do it so why not us men?

Nope, it's never even entered my mind as a serious thought and I used to be married to a woman/hairdresser with a L'Oréal degree in colour.
She suggested it a couple of times but eventually dropped the idea when met with my continual resistance.

I don't get why men have hair implants either when they start to recede, the vain turds.

Plus the men who do dye their hair always seem to leave it until well after they've started going grey, making it much more obvious when they finally do it

You don’t seem to see it so much these days, but the ill fitting and badly colour matched toupees were always amusing.

Some were a little better and allowed a brief game of “is it or isn’t it”!!

I'm 30 next year and my hair is certainly greying already. Not significantly but you can tell when it grows out (lockdown isn't helping!) I even found a white hair in my beard recently.

I wouldn't dye it personally but each to their own..!

Smoking can make you get grey hair faster.

I haven't played that game in ages and I'm still not sure if it was or wasn't the last time I did.

69 and not a grey hair on my head yet. Just have a no4 once a month as it grows too quick and gets too long.

Hair no, but I did try and dye my beard once as it was grey/ginger.

Colour said 'dark brown' on the box but once applied it was jet black and my wife said I looked like Satan so I washed it out and just trimmed the beard off instead :-)

I'm 70 now and predominantly grey though was reasonably fair haired before anyway. I've never considered dye at all but I tend to keep my hair shorter nowadays as I think long grey hair looks bad (as per scruffy-barnet Bob Geldof).

I'm more concerned about grey hairs spreading down my chest now towards my nether regions. If/when it gets that far down, Ill go for the Brazilian.

😀 My wife calls me some awful things but even she hasn’t called me that. With hair you should do what you want and what makes you feel good not what others think you should do. Most women I know don’t mind grey hair or balding hair on men.

I’m 31 and been going grey for ages .. my wish of “I’d rather go grey than bald” is thankfully coming to fruition.

Not bothered about it at all and I’d never dye it - I know some lads who’d hate it happening but I’ve always just liked how it’s naturally just gone greyer.

Nope. When I was younger before I joined up I was always messing with my hair... perhaps that’s why it’s now receding and thinning. I don’t suit it tho as I have quite a long face. I’d also rather be grey than bald but it looks like I’m getting both.

55 and greying at the sides and my beard is grey when I grow it, but I’m now at the age when I couldn’t really care less anymore.

I dyed my beard because it went really ginger, didn’t go too dark though so nobody noticed as such

Exactly the same, I had a panic attack when I looked in the mirror, got used to it after a few days and a few washes

Crikey it would be nice to have hair available to dye. Mine died back years ago. Miss it at 2am on cold winter nights when the heating gas gone off. Babies lose heat through their head and so do baldilocks men.

I noticed Ashley Barnes's barnet was looking quite thicker in the last game, looks like his transplant has worked.

One of my friends has gone for the Hair Replacement System. He's basically been bald for years - turns up with suddenly a full head of hair and my other friend says "You've grown your beard". Genuinely didn't click that he went from bald to a Gorilla.
