MIGHTY CLARETS versus Spurs

Post by IanMcL » Mon Oct 26, 2020 6:14 pm

Our mighty heroes are readying as I type. Getting their minds and body attuned and ready. Let's hope for a totally switched on team and 3 points for Burnley.

Madge is fired up and eager to please. Naughty Madge just can't wait for a win!

Up the Clarets

Yeah! the match thread is here :) I've got a good feeling about tonight, think we'll notch our 1st 3 points of the season.

Good to see your optimistic as ever, why don't you think we can get a result tonight, in the last 2 home games against Spurs we've got a win and a draw.

After a few days of Indian Summer type weather, we're now back to autumn temperatures, currently 7 degrees and overcast. I really don't know what to think about tonights game, hopefully we can get something from this major test. Spurs possible forward line of Son, Kane and Bale is pretty scary on paper. And, Moaniniho typically has Dyche's number.

Come on you Clarets. :)

Pretty much our "first names on the sheet" team - except for Ben Mee - and maybe Jack Cork...

Stage set for Ashley-feel he is getting back to fitness. Could be our Ace card if he gets stuck into the Spurs defence

Don’t know about anyone else but except for my beloved Clarets I have gone off soccer.

I also find it stressful that we don’t ever get the decisions and how poor VAR has been.

That said come on Super Burnley

I'd be happier with JayRod starting, we generally play better football but maybe tonight's the night for the direct approach. We'll see...

It's nights like this when I really wish we had a full house crowd on the Turf to enjoy the game. A noisy crowd getting behind the lads would be great tonight. Anyway, come on lads let's get out there and get in to em, it will be tough but we can get something!!

SD's team selection is nothing if not predictable.
We'll get murdered in midfield. All we have tactically tonight is hoof and hope.

just watched 1st 20 minutes of Sky coverage of Monday nights football.

full analysis of Kane from 'spitter' then having to go for an advert break with promise of more analysis of Chelsea and Man Utd players afters the break - wtf!

I expected Burnley to get a mention tonight but...should've known better!

Fear you’re right mate. Was hoping we might try something different tonight.

In a way, admire Dyche’s confidence in his players and approach but worry against an in-form Spurs team!
