The original government tweet - I think it’s a bit autocratic for governments to tweet like this - referred to Japanese soy sauce. Not Chinese.

It’s like chloriniated chicken . They don’t care, as long as they get rich by it.

“Drink the water. It’s not polutted. It just hasn’t passed boring EU standards.”

Just pointing out your error, where you said we get the majority of it from the EU, we don't, we get less than half of it from the EU.

It could also be cheaper after the end of the year from one place and more from the EU, something else you failed to mention in your rush to spout more anti-brexit stuff.

You're welcome.

Possible cheaper soy sauce.

It's taken four years for the first tangible benefit of Brexit and boy, was it worth waiting for.

I'll be pouring soy sauce on my fry up instead of HP from now on.

Probably wise. HP is made in the EU.

I was simply commenting on a misleading government tweet (should civil servants be tweeting propaganda?). Brexit has already shown itself to be a lemon. It doesn’t need my help.

Can't beat highlighting a misleading post with a misleading post

So instead of being accurate with your post, you carried on telling falsehoods...

“Telling a falsehood...” - I hold my hands up in terms of being incorrect, but I wasn’t attempting to mislead. There is a difference. It doesn’t change the substance of my point - that the vast majority of “Japanese” branded soy sauce referred to in the government tweet won’t be covered by the trade deal with Japan.

Most of the soy sauce sold in the U.K. comes from Holland and Poland, so if we don’t get a tarrif free deal with the EU, it will in fact be more expensive.
Your point/claim was most of the soy sauce sold in the UK comes from the EU, which I corrected you on, it's less than half, possibly less than a quarter.
You're now backtracking and referring to the tweet from the gov to try and claim you were correct.

You weren't, you tried to mislead with the wrong information to try and hammer home your anti-Brexit stance.

:) Just to set the record straight, I was referring to the same soy sauce the government was referring to. I apologise if you felt mislead, and assure you it wasn’t my intention.

For balance let me acknowledge that Brexit could deliver a reduction in the duty on Chinese soy sauce. Maybe the government should have tweeted that?

Excellent, hot on the heels of the soy sauce news, confirmation we'll be able to get maple syrup too.

State of Johnson nominating NHS staff for a Pride of Britain award instead of looking to reward them with a well earned pay increase

This Morning and Pride of Britain awards is about his level but unbelievably he fooled the majority of the country to vote him in as our PM

They'll probably finish runner up to someone off Love Island.
