This looks like a relegation team.
Re: Wake up happy clappers
The club is a shambles at the moment.
Re: Wake up happy clappers
I'm just glad we didnt spend any money and become the next Bolton, or even worse Bury.
Least this way we have a chance of staying in the top couple of leagues, instant relegation to league 2 would have been horrific

Re: Wake up happy clappers
I’m still confident that we can turn this around. It’s very early days this season and we’ve players to come back.
Hopefully there will be some sort of positive news regarding a takeover and January might bring some new faces to help us over the line.
We’ve been in this sort of position before and if anyone can find the right solutions, it’s Dyche.

Re: Wake up happy clappers
Are we allowed to mention Chelsea's spending this summer?
Re: Wake up happy clappers
The seeds of what has happened so far this season were planted roughly 2 years ago when we failed to improve the XI despite banking over £40m in profit.
I’m sure it’s just a coincidence that the seasons in which we actually signed players worthy of starting happened to be our best though.

People hanging their Hope's on Mee and Cork, the latter lucky if he sees a game in 2020, but IMO the issues are just as much going the other way, we have not scored for the last 3 games, and yet to score at home this season.
You can count on 1 finger the actual real goalscoring chances we have created at home this season.
But like SD many saw this 3 transfer windows ago.
If you do not improve at this level you go backwards.

This team has relegation written all over it.
I hope fat Mike is crying into his Saturday night steak as millions is being wiped off the club game by game.

Unfortunately whoever buys the club I would be careful giving Dyche any money. After 8 seasons he hasn't bought any pace, flair or creativity. We are so so easy to play against. The style of football is shocking and maybe Garlic was right not to give him any money seeing the garbage he has bought.

I can’t disagree with the longer term issue, going back a good number of windows.
Still think we will be OK though.

And WBA managed to go 3-0 up by actually having a go at them, ok they brought it back to 3-3 but at least they had a go and got something. They were championship last season and managed to compete with them.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 4:46 pmAre we allowed to mention Chelsea's spending this summer?

Hazard went at the start of last season.
It doesn't matter what's said anyway, some people will never be happy with what the club does.
Personally I think the squad and manager will get their act together, but I won't be on here having a meltdown every time we lose.

Think we need a fresh start all round. Dyche all has had its day. Yes circumstances beyond his control haven’t helped but he’s been here a long time and our squad is an absolute shambles for a premier league side. He should take a lot of the blame on his shoulders.BabylonClaret wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 4:59 pmIf that's the case bin him off then. Don't kneecap him and wonder why he's not walking properly.

Re: Wake up happy clappers
There is losing badly, or losing with a fight (as per last week v Spurs). Not one player played well today. The ball given away endlessly, players literally walking back when defending, and the heads have dropped of even our best players. Anyone watching will have noticed this. All we have to look forward to is Ben coming back, which whilst welcomed would not have affected the score today. Chelsea should have scored 6 goals today. We have one unhappy camp in a division that has improved immensely with virtually every team

No Flair? Defour.
No creativity? Defour.
Add in players like Jay Rod, Vydra and Brady etc and you're chatting out your backside.
Plus if you're not willing to let him spend then maybe you should be advocating for his sacking but if that's the case then you can own any mess that happens afterwards.

Re: Wake up happy clappers
No, I mean when, and we will. There are people can't wait for a run of bad results like this. Probably the same ones who confirmed our relegation last season in January having lost 3-0 to Chelsea. Am I happy? No. Am I concerned? Yes. Do I think the club is currently in a good state? Only a fool would think that and I believe off the field stuff is now having an effect on the players. Do I think we can recover this situation? Yes I do.

Re: Wake up happy clappers
The view points are very tribal on here. The happy clappers won’t accept any other view than their own view of hope.
There’s some people who just have a pop at every opportunity and there’s the realists who can see exactly what’s happening.
Under Dyche in the premier league we have been streaky, going on winning and losing runs. The winning runs come when everything clicks together, we have no injuries and perhaps that little run of the green.
We are a mile away from that at the moment. I thought the spurs game we had looked like our old dogged selves again but today was worrying.
I think we need to be in touch come January from being outside the relegation zone to stand a chance. We know who’s going to play and what players will be playing what positions as we have no alternative tactics. Just hoping we can pull the rabbit out the hat again and then have a clear out in the summer.

Can anyone tell me, exactly what was the issue with Ben Mee...beginning of July was his last game..the injury off the back of a training ground incident from memory. Not having a dig at at all, I've just missed what the issue was and why its taken 4 month to improve.

Happy clappers is just a stupid term used by morons to describe people who prefer to dwell on the positives rather than revel in the negatives. Re: Wake up happy clappers
It's understandable to be frustrated and angry after a defeat, don't worry. This was surely expected, though? You didn't honestly expect to get anything from today's game really, did you? Games v Chelsea and Man City are complete write offs - we never look anywhere near when we play them. So it seems to me that you're bit angry and just getting it off your chest. That's ok.
Out of the initial 6x games we have played, there are only really 2 of them that were disappointing - the Southampton and Newcastle games. After not getting anything in the first 3 games there was a very real possibility that we would be on 1-3 points max after 6 games. And that is how it has panned out. No panic yet - we just have to make sure we get some points on the board soon and not get cut adrift from thew lower middle teams in the league.
Let's not get angry because we got beat 3-0 by Chelsea.....
