Weather beautiful here in Spain. Covid, I think, is better controlled over here than England, I've been wearing a mask and social distancing since March. Football was awful, our club is in total disarray at the moment, but at least I can still buy a bottle of Mahou beer for one Euro. Thank God for the EU.

I think many are feeling like you Cirrus. By LOCKDOWN I presume you are not referring to our DEFENSE rather than to Government action taken tonight ???Cirrus_Minor wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 7:20 pmBad home defeat

The Great Fox-Spider had not been seen since 1993 and was thought to be extinct, has been rediscovered in the UK.

Lived in Spain for 2 of the last 3 years I honestly could not think of a worse place to be. Spain is a police state at the best of times and they still can't control the epidemicVino blanco wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 7:26 pmWeather beautiful here in Spain. And a shote hole
I voted Brexit because of the time I spent I in Spain and the amount of money the Spanish ***** spunked down the drain on road projects that are still not finished 10 years after they started.
Spain is a socialist shote oil paid for by Northern European tax payers

Agree. Had I been living in England I would have voted for Brexit. But we are thankful for the billions the uk has pumped into Spain for the last 20 years or so.tbe sun still shines here, the cost of living is s half that of the uk and its all been paid for by the Northern European tax payers. Cheers Lads

We had 3 points from first 3 home games in 1997 but had only 1 point from first 3 in 2002 and only 2 points in 2004, 2011 & 2014.Cirrus_Minor wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 7:20 pmBad home defeat

Re: What a crap day
Some positives England won the 6N, Rovers got beat, and I was working today so didn't have to endure all the nonsense posted on the match thread, and we won't face that quality every week.
Both Murphy & Shearer have just stated they believe we'll stay up on MOTD, and they think Dyche will turn it around, as he has before.
The youth team won, and I got the prediction spot on for the Burnley-Chelsea game.

Re: What a crap day
Exactly there’s a few nuggets of positivity to be had although not apparent just yet, people moaning about a crap day want to think about being Sean Connerys relatives, that’s a bummer of a day.tiger76 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 11:26 pmSome positives England won the 6N, Rovers got beat, and I was working today so didn't have to endure all the nonsense posted on the match thread, and we won't face that quality every week.

Re: What a crap day
As previously posted we just won the six nations so whoopee. worst case scenario, we get relegated but we're still alive and well and match day prices should drop, we'll also get to beat BRFC more often, but as Donald Sutherland said as Oddball : Crazy... I mean like, so many positive waves... maybe we can't lose, you're on!

It was, the news that I've got to go back to work on Monday was a sickner
I was hoping for a school shut down again as it's going to be decent weather this week and I've got allotments to sort before Winter

Sheffield Wednesday failed to score, I lost £5. I turned down £77 but could have won £164. Such is life

Re: What a crap day
Yep it's looking unlikely they'll mount a promotion challenge again this season, remind me when did they last beat us, I haven't got the facts to hand, but another day has passed since they emerged victorious against the mighty Clarets, and there will be a fair few more, unless they draw us in the FA Cup, there'll be at least 300 or so before they get the chance to play us again, and that's by no means guaranteed despite our current travails.

Re: What a crap day
At least Leeds got gubbed tonight
In footballing terms it doesn't get much worse than
Burnley 0 Hereford United 6 24 January 1987, my 11th birthday was the following day, and it wasn't a happy experience after that shambles, so by comparison losing 3-0 at home to a star-studded Chelsea side isn't that bad.
