I can't imagine any club in the league below would be in a position to match Dyche's inflated salary at the moment.

And anyway, righty or wrongly, Derby seem to believe in a certain way of playing. Dyche wouldn't deliver on that for them. The job has been Rooney's since he signed for them.

Has anyone considered that Dyche might not be retained by one of the bids?

I think Derby would be great fit for Dyche 5 years ago, but not now. He would get them promoted, but he would become niched as the next Pullis/Allerdyce. That’s not a brand image you want.

He’s ambitious, has great faith in his own ability, and wants to achieve and surpass in management where he was limited as a player.

Make no mistake, quite rightly Dyche will be a top 6 manager,

Derby are like Burnley a club in turmoil, it would be like jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire

Give Dyche the tools and his perceived style of play would be ditched.

His salary: why wouldn't they be in a position to pay it? They pay their players enough.

To tempt him to drop out of the PL to the bottom of the championship is going to require some silly wages.

He's on £4-5 million pa here, I can only hazard a guess that he'd want half as much again.

Dyche has aspirations to manage England in the future. I don’t think he would take that risk.

Not a chance Dyche will be a top 6 manager. His style
Of play, tactical rigidity and lack of transfer nous all see to that.

I don’t think he will achieve any better than where he currently is.

Someone will, plus he'd have more funds than we offer
