Jordan North in Welsh jungle
Probably our biggest celebrity fan and Radio one DJ has been revealed as the last celebrity in 'I'm a celebrity, get me out of here'.
Filmed in Wales this year.
Sure to mention the clarets plenty on the program.

Further BFC involvement after Wrighty's stint last year, I suppose any media coverage is too be welcomed, I disagree he's our biggest celebrity fan surely that honour falls to Prince Charles or Alastair Campbell, although I guess amongst the younger age bracket they are probably not as well known as Jordan.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Fri Nov 06, 2020 2:11 pmProbably our biggest celebrity fan and Radio one DJ has been revealed as the last celebrity in 'I'm a celebrity, get me out of here'.

We could have both the King of Wales and the Prince of Wales supporting us if all goes to plan

I don't like to see Campbell linked with the club to be fair and I haven't seen Prince Charles in the CF stand on matchday either.tiger76 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 06, 2020 2:38 pmFurther BFC involvement after Wrighty's stint last year, I suppose any media coverage is too be welcomed, I disagree he's our biggest celebrity fan surely that honour falls to Prince Charles or Alastair Campbell, although I guess amongst the younger age bracket they are probably not as well known as Jordan.

Re: Jordan North in Welsh jungle
I'm not getting into any political talk on this thread, however Campbell does at least attend the games, what PC'S connection to Burnley is appears rather spurious, I know he has his Prince's Trust projects in the town, but that hardly makes him a Claret does it.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Fri Nov 06, 2020 3:07 pmI don't like to see Campbell linked with the club to be fair and I haven't seen Prince Charles in the CF stand on matchday either.
If Prince Charles did attend he'd probably favour the Bob Lord stand anyway, where the rest of the old codgers reside.

If he does mention Burnley it will be edited to be the last thing on each show.

Re: Jordan North in Welsh jungle
Very good chance of winning it
Re: Jordan North in Welsh jungle
It’s being filmed in a castle in Wales 10 minutes from where my daughter lives and works.
I’ve been to the castle back in March pre lockdown and before they had any idea they might get this gig.
The castle was in a bit of a state as there had been a number of issues with it (fire or burglary or something - can’t remember exactly). They had just received some funding to start some work on it but there was a hell of a lot to do to get it back to anywhere near its previous state.
The day we visited we were apparently the only visitors they had all day and we we warned there wasn’t much to see !
Will be interesting to see how it looks now.

Prince Charles is no Burnley fan - he once used the club to appeal the peasants, the jug-eared ****.

All the makings of a bland series then, everyone getting on with everyone like last few years. It needs clashes of personalities like series past to spice it up.FactualFrank wrote: ↑Fri Nov 06, 2020 2:54 pmJust looked at the list. Tony Livesey is another celebrity fan. He used to post on the old board, wonder if he comes on here? Seems like a decent bloke.

He's quite often in the 110 club (and other pubs) before and after games and definitely attends home and away whenever he can. He was sat in front of me at Chelsea the other year. Good bloke and been a die hard all his life.

Seen a few articles about the happenings on the first trial and our Jordan, evidently, doesn't fare well....seen vomitting on screen through fear!

Tony Livesey mentions the Clarets on nearly every episode of Drive on 5live. He also chaired a Q&A at .my local with Brian Nelson about 12 months ago.

And yet many like myself haven't a clue who he is. (Maybe that's down to my my own ignorance).
I'm thinking more of John Kettley, Eric Knowles, Sam Aston, Alex Carlile, and Bernard Ingham - in addition to those already mentioned.

Re: Jordan North in Welsh jungle
We've stayed in the toruing caravan site which is next to the castle, Manorafon Farm, we walked to the castle and had a looked around the outside. It was falling to pieces and at the time not open to the public. There are some caves just south of Castle which I would imagine could feature in the show and Lady Emily's Tower.TVC15 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 06, 2020 5:11 pmIt’s being filmed in a castle in Wales 10 minutes from where my daughter lives and works.

Re: Jordan North in Welsh jungle
Selected for tomorrow's trial along with Shane Richie, I hope he doesn't have a fear of snakes.
As for the winner, it's hard to see past Mo, but stranger things have happened.
IDK if Jordan will have the fan base to compete with the soap stars in particular, however I guess the Radio 1 demographic are probably the most likely to vote on a show like this.
My top 3
1) Mo Farah (he's a knight of the realm for heaven's sake, and the darling of the nation)
2) AJ Pritchard (I can see him getting a lot of female votes)
3) Vernon Kay (yes he's marmite, but he's blooming good at the challenges, and that counts for a lot in this show.
Jordan will do well to make it to the last 5/6 with that line-up, either way it's great that someone from Burnley is getting national media coverage in a positive light for a change, let's just celebrate that.

Stuck a few quid on Jordan to win it, will add some exrra interest in it.
Free app to vote for trials, departures and then the winner, so if everyone downloads the app and votes for him, a local lad wins the comp and a local lad wins a few quid.

Re: Jordan North in Welsh jungle
The fact he's been voted to do the trial might put him in the bottom 2 as things stand. However the public like to vote for people who appear weak, so it might be because of his fear of heights and being sick right at the beginning.

He's gay isn't he? Or at least bi, he's definitely spoken of his boyfriend on Radio 1 in the past. No doubt that will lose him some support from our fanbase.
I couldn't have done the abseiling, he definitely fared better than me

Just realised, Russell Watson must come in later as I didn't see him yesterday. And it's showing 12 contestants, so I've missed another one somewhere.
