Re: Super Scott
He's doing well and there's plenty of competition in the Rangers squad these days, hence why he's not playing every game, he's really impressed in Europe over the last couple of seasons, and it looks like he'll be getting plenty more European action this season as Rangers are all but certain to qualify for the KO stages.
Re: Super Scott
He doesn't suffer injuries when someone runs into him. Should have kept him.

Re: Super Scott
They'll qualify alongside Benfica, they're the 2 quality teams in the group, and they both shouldn't have much problem beating Poznan or Leige.
Arsenal & Leicester through to the KO stages with 2 games to spare, and Spurs more or less certain to join them.
A goal for Harvey Barnes in Portugal in a thrilling 3-3 draw, and a 50 yard lob from Winks in a Spurs stroll.
Celtic crashing out in Prague, their campaign has been a disaster.

Do you recall the Aberdeen games? They didn't look to be a much lower standard than we did and we're weaker now.

Re: Super Scott
Will Turf Moor be his next happy place? I can't see him staying in Scotland for long, Brendan Rodgers is testament to that, he achieved all he could at Celtic, and knew he had to return to the PL to prove himself, which he's certainly doing at Leicester.

Re: Super Scott
Yes I can see a lot of the PL clubs courting Stevie if he lands the title, it's also his work in Europe that will get him noticed down south, however he is contracted until 2024, so he won't come cheap, but for most Prem clubs I don't suppose that'll be an issue.

Has everything you would want in a manager. Proven winner as a player. Determined. Leader. Forward thinking. No nonsense. But been there and done it. Has done a brilliant job there and good to see both he and lampard doing great as managers.

Re: Super Scott
Arfield is a regular in a team that is top of its Europa League group ahead of Portuguese giants Benfica, but wouldn’t get in an arguable weaker team than one that struggled to get past Aberdeen? Aye, ok.Woodleyclaret wrote: ↑Thu Nov 26, 2020 9:38 pmIt's a much lower standard up in Scotland and Scottie would not got a game in our Premier league team

We miss Arfield’s intelligence at finding pockets of space between the lines, and he was always good for a goal or two.
From the Old Firm, Ajer, Ntcham, Christie, Eduoard, Tavernier, Kent, Barisic, Morelos, Arfield would all be in our squad at the very least, if not first 11.
Yes, the standard below Celtic and Rangers drops away significantly, but both are decent and would be more than a match for teams at the bottom of the PL.

Re: Super Scott
Reading this it so unfortunate that he left. I can’t remember how long ago it was when he left without googling it. But he would be a useful addition now.

And English, am I right in saying an English manager has never won the Premier league....that's amazing if true.cricketfieldclarets wrote: ↑Fri Nov 27, 2020 12:23 amHas everything you would want in a manager. Re: Super Scott
Not a chance that right sided midfielder Scott Arfield would add depth to the right side of our midfield ahead of our current backup, reserve left back Eric Pieters.

I was a huge Arfield fan but he wouldn’t get in our team now.

Re: Super Scott
Yes amazingly that is true, Keegan should probably have changed that stat, but he and the Geordies bottled it, Lampard might have a chance of making history this season the way he's got Chelsea going, but given the fact the PL is nearly 30 years old that is a staggering stat.
