Worrall still on the radar along with others
Worrall still on the radar along with others
Obviously take with a pinch of salt anything Nixon says, but intrigued by "already lining up deals" claim which would be a shift from the norm (maybe not and we only see the end result?)
"According to Alan Nixon, Burnley are already lining up deals ahead of January, with Worrall believed to be back on Sean Dyche’s radar."

I don't think Worrall would suit us

He's the right profile, and a centre back is going to be required if it's clear that we won't be able to meet Tark's demands.

My glasses used to break like that when I tried to head a Mitre Size 3.

he'd be able to help with all the omelettes tho...
not to mention the additional income from his name on shirt sales

Re: Worrall still on the radar along with others
Worrall is pants for Forest, now whether playing alongside Ben Mee, and having the tutoring of SD will make him a better player IDK, but I wouldn't be paying silly money for him, of course if Tarky is leaving the building either in January or more likely in the summer, then it's makes sense to get his replacement in ASAP I suppose to allow him to bed in to his new surroundings.

My guess is that Tarky will leave in January in order to received the maximum amount for him

He certainly wouldn’t be Tarks replacement. one for the future maybe but not even close to Kevin Long.

Re: Worrall still on the radar along with others
I’d say we deserve to go down if we sell Tarks in Jan.
You have to factor the cost of relegation and we can all see that the risks are a lot higher if we sell Tarks.
I’d rather keep him for the remainder of his contract. We are not going to get offers above the £30m received in summer, £10m of which would go to Brentford. So is it really worth £20m to heighten risk of relegation for this season and next? If PL status is worth £100m a season then it’s a no brainier to sell such a key player for £20m.
Not at all convinced that Worrall is the replacement we need when he does move on, sadly!

Sadly, aye.
I think if we keep him now, with the euros coming up, his head wont be in it.
Added to that, it threatens our reputation as a place to develop, and then be allowed to move on for our mutual benefit when the time is right, as Keane, Gray, Trips, etc have before.
We need a replacement lined up now.

All of this is true, we've never stood in the way of players who outgrow us, but I think Andre Gray is an exception to this. Not only because Watford is a downgrade or sidegrade at the most....I bet both our playing management and our club management couldn't believe the andre gray transfer.ZizkovClaret wrote: ↑Mon Dec 07, 2020 8:02 pmSadly, aye.

I don't know it for fact, but he wasn't exactly a fan favourite, nor was he actually that good, he scored 10 goals in the premier league but 3 were against the shittest sunderland side this side of Mick McCarthy.
I'm not trying to play him down, that championship year was excellent, but he never once looked like a top division footballer.

With Andre it felt financially, more than skill or talent. More fool Watford really, but you cant blame the lad for taking what was offeredduncandisorderly wrote: ↑Mon Dec 07, 2020 8:33 pmAll of this is true, we've never stood in the way of players who outgrow us, but I think Andre Gray is an exception to this. Worrall is a very underwhelming link, hasn’t really pulled up many trees at Notts Forrest and wasn’t overly impressive with rangers either.

If he wasn’t playing well he wouldn’t make the squad for the euros, I think he will have a great season as usualZizkovClaret wrote: ↑Mon Dec 07, 2020 8:02 pmSadly, aye.
