The guys a complete bell piece albeit a very talented one. Hope Selby stuffs him
Re: ronnie o'sullivan
What’s happened?
They’re both bell ends to be fair, although O’Sullivan is the more talented bell end.

Re: ronnie o'sullivan
o'sullivan deliberately playing on when needing a dozen or so snookers.
then he even tried to play on with just the black on the table until the official told him to get off.
he's just a childish tosser who sulks when he doesn't get his own way and i notice his pals in the studio didn't dwell too much on it.
{edit} and not playing on for practice, actually trying to get snookers. he was basically giving selby the finger because he knows selby won't bow down to him and play the way he wants him to play.

Re: ronnie o'sullivan
I have watched a documentary of him when he went to the States taking random players on at pool. He comes across as very much a 'lad' off the snooker table. A lively fella and likes a laugh. But you can tell he's a very selfish person, that's obvious. He thinks about himself and nobody else.

Re: ronnie o'sullivan
If I was Selby that would give me a massive lift. He’s rattled.
Re: ronnie o'sullivan
When people play this way against Ronnie no one complains, Selby is one of the worst for playing on for snookers, when Ronnie does it back he's suddenly an obnoxious prick.yTib wrote: ↑Sun Dec 13, 2020 2:39 pmo'sullivan deliberately playing on when needing a dozen or so snookers.

Re: ronnie o'sullivan
yeah i'm guessing you didn't see it. trying to play on with just the black on the table having lost the frame is just ugly.
but then i knew we'd have one or two on defending him. his legion of apologists are embarrassing. even his schoolchum andy goldstein suggested he might be doing it just to settle his new tip in.
yeah right.

Re: ronnie o'sullivan
I'm not watching, but the OP says a dozen or so snookers - I've watched snooker for years as I'm a big fan, but if that's literal, I've never seen a player do that.
But besides - any fans of snooker know what he's like. We know he complains and takes the **** more than other snooker players. So it's hardly like people complain because it's him. He brings it on himself.

Selby often takes three minutes plus on regulation safety shots. I’m not saying Ronnie isn’t a bit of an idiot sometimes, but let’s not pretend he’s the only one who employs gamesmanship. It’s up to the ref to have a word if it crosses a line.

To be fair there is lots of previous between those two. Selby is as much of a prick as Ronnie to be fair just not as flamboyant with it as Ronnie is.

Re: ronnie o'sullivan
I think the reason O'Sullivan gets more leeway than most is that he is for many people, me included, the reason they fell in love with the sport. At his best, his snooker is utterly incredible to watch. He's the main box office draw but, and I suppose this is the problem, he know this. There's also the argument that his antics provided a much needed dimension to the sport relative to androids like Selby, Barry Hawkins etc.

Re: ronnie o'sullivan
He gets more leeway because he knows he's the best player to play the game professionally. Simple.
He's cocky. He has a lot of an influence in what happens as shown in the past as he draws the most fans. People go to watch him.
If he retired, the game would be a hell of a lot less entertaining.
It's something I've accepted about him. He'll cause arguments and other players won't like him. But at the end of the day people are drawn to him because he's the best by a mile.

Wash your mouth out. When your as good as he is you can say these things. Hes not a grey characterless individual. Maybe you like that sory
I prefer character.

Not scurried off at all. I just don't spend all day on here, that's all.
Those who think obnoxious people like O'Sullivan should be supported just because he has some talent, are the same sort of people who allow the likes of Boris Johnson say one thing and do another, yet still vote for him. ("A trade deal is oven ready and so easy to implement.") Yeh, right. Trump is exactly the same and look at the damage he's STILL doing to America.
All three are only interested in themselves and everything can crash and burn so long as they are getting attention.
The world has gone mad.

"Crash and burn" - he's a snooker player. A very good and popular one. He isn't starting wars in the Middle East.

He’s right. You say he’s an entertainer but that’s why BoJo is running the UK into the ground and how Trump became the Prez. Because they have tv outlets via HIGNFY and the Apprentice USA and make folk smile. The people who watch sh1te reality tv and want to be “entertained” are the reason the rest of the world are p1ssing themselves at the state of both nations. Some folk are just too easily pleased.
That is to do with the state of the country not you personally.
