Re: Cork
I think he starts every game for us if fit. We have missed his passing in the centre of the park

Re: Cork
Brownhill getting better with every game, think he'll go on to be a major asset.
JC with a fight on his hands to get back in the team.
As it should be.

Re: Cork
It’s a difficult one for me but I think Cork starts every game. Drop one of Westwood or Brownhill.
I think CM has been one of our biggest weaknesses this season, the main reason we are so poor going forward is because we can’t pass the ball quick enough with enough accuracy.

Re: Cork
I would say Brownhill has been ok but not spectacular. His defensive performances have been decent but going forward he’s been lacking all season.ElectroClaret wrote: ↑Fri Dec 18, 2020 10:27 pmBrownhill getting better with every game, think he'll go on to be a major asset.

I would love to see us start with Brownhill sitting deep and Westwood and cork more advanced

Re: Cork
Great News!
It's also about retaining sale value in our squad rather than allowing players to go for zero.
This applies also to most of the recent contract extensions.
Nothing wrong with doing that.
It does not stop us getting in other players either.
It does help stop us leaving ourselves so threadbare as this summer did with injuries and departures eg Hendrick able to walk away.
I rate Cork.
Glad he is happy to stay.
Always gives 100% and has proved his worth.
If we bring in better? at least we'd get something back should he feel the need to move on. etc etc.
Whether he ends up starting or on the bench or part of the squad this is still the right thing for BFC to do.

Re: Cork
Even with the contract extension, we wouldn't get much for Cork when he leaves here.HunterST_BFC wrote: ↑Fri Dec 18, 2020 11:58 pmGreat News!

Ability, experience and the fact that he controls the (imaginary) lines better in midfield than any other midfielder we have. That's why he's been signed on again.
Re: Cork
Brownhill will get moved back to the right i'd imagine. For me he looks more comfortable centrally though.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 18, 2020 10:31 pmIt’s a difficult one for me but I think Cork starts every game. Drop one of Westwood or Brownhill.

Re: Cork
Not sure I’d describe this as options. Cover, yes. Options, not really for me. All much of a muchness. None of them have the ability to get the ball and give the impression they have oodles of time and space to find and execute that forward defence splitting ball.
Happy to have them all here and waiting their chance, but I’d like the one we are clearly missing since d4 left.

Watching Fulham, Anguissa looks a very bright talent at CM.

Re: Cork
That was his adopted home city wasnt it so should've been a great event. Saw Rory twice in the mid 70s, fabulous live performer and brilliant guitarist. Still listen to his music.

Re: Cork
With Cork fit I'd love to see us try play like we did in the first half of the season we came 7th. Westwood would have the Defour role, Brownhill playing the Hendrick role and have McNeil and Jay wide with Wood up top on his own.
Can't see us trying to change to that mid season but think we could play some good football with that set up
