Centre Forward Partnerships

Post by JinkingJames » Sun Jan 03, 2021 3:53 pm

Who can remember the Heath / Robinson partnership.

In that great spirit what about our first signing being someone called Wallace so we can have a Barnes / Wallace combo.

Are there any others :-

In cricket who can remember the old:-

"The batsman's Holding the Bowler's Willey"

We could move Benson up front, and then sign Ryan Hedges from Aberdeen, giving us Benson and Hedges, of course we'd have to recruit Mike Bassett as manager.

I’d have bet my house on Ian Moore scoring..... Jimmy Mullen at Anfield. Fortunately no Burnley fans were so blinkered.

Only Burnley in those days could possibly have thought a littoral Heath Robinson forward line would work, like we were not getting enough grief as Bury soared above us in the league.

Remember that Mick Flanagan? Did he partner one of the Allen brothers at QPR?
