But we’re really good against lower league opposition....dougcollins wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 7:33 pmIt's amazing that some Clarets think there is such a thing as an 'easy' cup draw, as if history has taught them nothing.

I'd like Man City so I can put a few quid on a 5-0 loss.

Need more than a few quid at odds of 1/1000.Sutton-Claret wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 9:24 pmI'd like Man City so I can put a few quid on a 5-0 loss.
Re: Who do you fancy in the next round?
Despite our recent history in cup competitions, it is obviously reasonable to suggest the lower the level the opposition plays at the better the chance we have of progressing to the next round.dougcollins wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 7:33 pmIt's amazing that some Clarets think there is such a thing as an 'easy' cup draw, as if history has taught them nothing.

Re: Who do you fancy in the next round?
Probably the one year i don't care if we win or lose, obviously great for the club if we win the FA Cup or at least have a good cup run but could you imagine being in the FA Cup final in May but not being allowed to attend or limited numbers and you don't get a ticket, would be gutting.

Re: Who do you fancy in the next round?
I can understand that viewpoint, but the added profile the club would gain from a good cup run, or even a Wembley appearance would outweigh the disappointment of fans being unable to attend, and who knows perhaps by May supporters will be allowed into stadiums again.claretburns wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 11:03 pmProbably the one year i don't care if we win or lose, obviously great for the club if we win the FA Cup or at least have a good cup run but could you imagine being in the FA Cup final in May but not being allowed to attend or limited numbers and you don't get a ticket, would be gutting.

Orange segments before the draw for the 5th round?

Re: Who do you fancy in the next round?
Really couldn't give one about the cup especially this year with no crowds, it just hinders our league programme
Re: Who do you fancy in the next round?
Indeed. Providing we get more league points we could put a proper effort in for this

Re: Who do you fancy in the next round?
Nothing to fear at all. Premier League, of course, remains the first target. If that means resting players for the cup then sobeit.

Yes it’s a shame. The FA Cup always makes me nostalgic. I preferred the old Wembley. It had a certain class and uniqueness unlike the generic bowl we have now.

Re: Who do you fancy in the next round?
Do you remember Di Matteo's strike? The pre-match started with that his sister was blind. WIll always remember this. The commentary was superb, showing her when he scored. I think it hit a lot of people emotionally.
That to me was a perfect example of how it mattered to different people for different reasons.
