Why did that have to fall to a defender?

Ben Mee must have bricks for brains. Nothing keeps him down. Stretcher would have been on for most others.

Let’s not forget that we could have easily lost to 10 men tonight and felt really upset

I’m not sure there is a worse striker in the league right now than wood (who happens to be our most expensive player)nonayclaret wrote: ↑Tue Jan 12, 2021 9:58 pmThe odds-on scapegoat is now off. Who will the guns turn on next?
Their team cost 10x ours. Give the lads some credit.

Vyds needs to be given an opportunity to start, he can't possibly do a worse job than Wood who is hopelessly out of form.
Re: Burnley v Manchester United - Match Thread
Vydra simply deserves a place in the starting lineup.

Re: Burnley v Manchester United - Match Thread
Unlucky lads, good effort. Another day we could have won. Biggest disappointment was not seeing changes sooner, and not seeing a tactical change after they were so clearly on top before they scored.
They have to resort to a deflection, a world class finish and cheating to beat us. Says a lot about our integrity. Some new faces and we'll be golden.

Re: Burnley v Manchester United - Match Thread
I think Wood is far more clinical that Vydra, but Vydra is quite good at creating chances with his link play and movement. As things stand right now Wood really looks off the boil, so maybe give Vyds a few starts.

Maybe that's why we dont start Vydra.
Re: Burnley v Manchester United - Match Thread
Vydra will never get a game again after that miss. Any excuse for Dyche not to give him a start.

Wood is out of form, but we all know he's our best forward when he gets his form back.

Why? Because he skied a shot. He's done more in 10 minutes thanWood has in about 5 games.

I thought we were good first half. Couple of big decisions went against us in the game, but overall we didn;t deserve to win. They got on top second half and struggled until the last ten minutes.

Had more efforts on goal in the short time he was on the pitch than the other two...
Gets into the right positions
Re: Burnley v Manchester United - Match Thread
Much better from us, show heart today. VAR was used correctly today too. Utd did deserve it though

Shows how differently people see things, I dont think we deserved anything
Re: Burnley v Manchester United - Match Thread
Based on the second half I don't think so, we were completely out played.

A performance of sheer guts-well done team for performing heroics against a team that cost 10 times more than ours. On a different note though , please don't anyone tell me that we don't need a proper striker

I know they're a better team with better players but our ball retention in the last 60 mins of that game was zero. Nothing from midfield at all and our two upfront are playing like cart horses.

That was hard work. I lost interest in the second half, we could have played for another hour and not scored.

Better team won, can't complain. We tried but not quite got the quality. I'm not having a go because we're right up against it against a squad worth hundreds of millions. But I find it really annoying watching us struggle like that, it's just not fun.

Vyds gave us more options in ten minutes, than Wood has done all season.
