Re: West Ham v Burnley - Match Thread
Team look bereft of confidence, I don't know why after Tuesday, despite the defeat.
The shooting throughout the team is awful.
Robbies deadballs, are dead.
Keep playing the ball behind the men out wide, so they are forced to turnback instead of try and get to the byline.
So many things wrong, but we are still in it.
I hope Dyche gives them all a bollocking at HT. I know he's loyal to a fault sometimes, but kid gloves doesn't always work.
The effort is there, as always, but the nous, game management, technical abilities are woeful.

To be fair to Wooď yes hes been Poor.Zlatan wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 3:53 pmJust throwing it out there (and most definitely one of my most stupid suggestions) but I’d switch Pieters for McNeil and bring Brady to LB, and push Dwight up. I’d also swap Barnes with Vydra, for some pace. To be fair to Wood, although he’s been poor, he’s been the better of the two up top. Bring Jay on later for him if it’s not working

Positives:
Mostly solid at the back but that's a poor goal to give away; Robbie if you're going to track back to defend then great, but don't just stand there trying to look useful.
It's only one.

Funniest post of the dayDevils_Advocate wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 3:50 pmSolid first half with not much in it. Need more of the same and if we can stay within one goal of them until the last 10 mins we can then throw some subs on and try and grab a draw.
No need for Dyche to do anything rash and need to keep our subs in hand in case one or two players get injured
exciting times

If you were allowed, you could safely do your ironing in the WHU goal. Nothing would hit you.cockneyclaret wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 3:54 pmSerious question.. do I start the ironing facing the TV or the wall?? Need help on this

We ARE looking for positives, but it's like the proverbial needle in haystack, trying to find them.bfcmik wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 3:55 pmGood grief! I just came on here to read this thread. I'm off again now for a half bottle of antidepressants!
Is there a match thread for people who support Burnley (not without question but look for positives rather than ****)? Most of the last 3 pages are full of posts slating various players. If I was stood near half these posters I would be fuming!

Like Pieters but we’re a different side when Charlie’s not playing. We need him back ASAP.

What was your top positive from that half. Our incisive free flowing ability to run at them and create chances? Brady’s outstanding dead ball skills? Pieters’ pace down the left?Taffy on the wing wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 3:52 pmThought i'd check the match thread .......what a mistake!

On the plus side we have always been a one half side under SD and that wasn’t it.

If Barnes stood up there he may have gotten on the end of Woods header there.
