Timothy Taylor’s Landlord
What a cracking beer.
Draft obviously but the bottled stuff is decent. Not too strong and tons of flavour.
Uplifting on an otherwise crappy day.
What’s tha drinking toneet?

I have a few cans of Guinness left over from Christmas so may sample a couple of glasses of the dark stuff. But it won’t be while watching match of the day.

Re: Timothy Taylor’s Landlord
Landlord on draught is a great pint (from what I can remember from those halcyon days of being able to go to a pub)
Had a couple of cans of Old Speckled Hen during the game but tinned real ale is just not the same and a bit too gassy to have more than 2 or 3 in one session.

Yes they do (when they’re open ), but it is more a gastro pub now, rather than the boozer it was. Having said that, the food is superb there and I’m having one of their ‘meals at home’ tonight.THEWELLERNUT70 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 6:06 pmDo they still serve it in the Mucky Duck? Best pint I ever had of it was in London in a pub near embankment station. It was like magic.
Love it when you find a magic pint in a pub ... something that just seems leagues above any beer you’ve had before.

For those of you who enjoy a decent ale and haven't already tried it:
Adnam's Broadside, over 6% in the bottle.

Their ghost ship low alcohol is pretty good if you’re abstaining.
Re: Timothy Taylor’s Landlord
Husband has been drinking a mini keg of Thornbridge Jaipur. He reckons it’s one of best beers out there and helped him get through that dross at the London Stadium. He did buy it to share but with lockdown he is on his own. He says it is strong stuff though so won’t drink it all tonight.

If you like Landlord you will like Golden Best from Taylors, it’s around the 3.8% ABV mark and is very drinkable.
Saltaire Blonde I’d also recommend highly.

Re: Timothy Taylor’s Landlord
Ben Bracken Islay whisky. From Lidl!
A very good dram, better than some £60 bottles I’ve had in the last.
They also do Highland and Speyside variants if you’re not a fan of the Islay smokiness.

Whiskey thread now? Hubby drinks Islay Whiskeys from Ardbeg. Got him a bottle of Udegail for Christmas. He had finished it by New Year. I think he may have a problem.
Re: Timothy Taylor’s Landlord
Henry Westons Cider, and lots of it.
I've totally forgotten about Mike Conroys shocker and our earlier 3-0 defeat at Gillingham, so it's worked a treat.
I still think we will go up, and as champions!

Landlord is a great beer, but I don't like bottled beer.
So tonight it's Tullamore Dew, a bottled opened at Christmas.

Can I ask where you got it from. My favourite fullers but haven’t seen it in shops for ages.
