Just got back from building a snowman.
Must have just missed Jays first goal.
Hows the rest been?

Re: Match Day Thread: Fulham vs Burnley
He's played well, as they all have, however the standout performer has to be Jay, and the MOTM vote should be an easy choice.
2 goals and an assist, that's what they call impacting the game.

Effin fantastic performace today. Everyone played their part.
Big mention to me for the unsung heroes - BPF- Long - Pieters - Stephens - Vydra. All fantastic and in some ways equally as good a performance as Thursday.

He's not going to change the starting 11 from Liverpool
And through clenched teeth, have to agree

Re: Match Day Thread: Fulham vs Burnley
Great result, very good performance as well.
Not taking anything away, but their second string isn't any good is it. They are finding it hard, but if they get injuries or suspensions, they could fall off a cliff.
Our second string however, goes from strength to strength. So good to get so many players back.

So weird to see footballers leaving the field covered in mud!!! Haven't seen that in bloody years!!

A really entertaining and deserved win. Thought everyone was outstanding - the desire, tempo and aggression all over the pitch was spot on. Gives us a real spring board for Villa now.

Top result and performance. It's a long time since we made so many changes and still had nine full internationals in our starting line up. Fantastic to see.

Re: Match Day Thread: Fulham vs Burnley
Fulham will struggle to stay up playing on a pitch like that every other game. It will get worse up to Feb and players get tired and injuries playing in those conditions.claretgimmer wrote: ↑Sun Jan 24, 2021 4:34 pmPitch was crap by modern standards but we tried to play more football today than hoofball and it worked, well done lads. Re: Match Day Thread: Fulham vs Burnley
Hmm! not sure about that, why would he drop the guy who won and converted the winning penalty at Anfield, if he's going to change anyone in the forward line I'd suggest it should be Wood, but I do agree we should try and found a place for Jay against Villa, his confidence must be sky high after scoring a brace and making another, and if he wanted to stake a claim for a starting berth that's the way to do it.
Re: Match Day Thread: Fulham vs Burnley
That is a good point NNN. A poor pitch is unhelpful, when you need confidence. .Leeds pitch is crap too, although they are buying one from Spurs!
We'll reserve a relegation spot for them!
