Fulham now linked with Josh King. Most clubs in and around us trying to do something about their situation.

We were told by the most "in the know" poster on here that Phil Jones was a certainty to be signing for us!

West Brom looking likely to sign Maitland-Niles, good signing and shows that there are players available.

Wish they’d just stand Boden down, let him have his tea in peace and put us lot out of our misery!

If that’s it, I’d be a little surprised if we don’t have a new video from Mr Pace, today or tomorrow at the latest.
It’s disappointing not to be not adding to our ranks, yet again, for a number of reasons.

Brownhill had played over 200 league games at a high standard before we signed him. Kenny has played about 20, most of which were sub appearances.
I know which £10m would be better spent.

Re: January Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
He has been guaranteed a regular starting spot in midfield - he believes that is where his England chance lies in the summer - of course was man of the match at the cup final as a defender
Sean Dyche definitely does not guarantee starts to any player incoming
Re: January Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
I said at the time, that it looked like more like a boardroom shuffle in all but name, rather than a takeover, so I am not really surprised.

Brownhill has played all his games at championship or lower.Granny WeatherWax wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 6:17 pmBrownhill had played over 200 league games at a high standard before we signed him. Kenny has played about 20, most of which were sub appearances.
I know where £10m would be better spent.
Kenny has played all 90 games of his career in the top divisions of world football. Plus Kenny is younger.
Both worth 10m at the absolute max.

Kenny is worth about 3m to us in my opinion. Not a guaranteed starter.
Struggled to get a game for Everton with them playing 2 different centre backs before him, when Coleman was out injured.

Let’s just hope we don’t need about 4 positions sorting in summer. At the moment, we’re on 2.

With so many over 30s in the squad we're simply putting off the major squad overhaul

Totally agree mate. If it’s true they wanted £9m they were living on a different planet.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 6:28 pmKenny is worth about 3m to us in my opinion. Not a guaranteed starter.

Also seems a bit unreasonable treatment of a young player that’s clearly surplus to their requirements.
Re: January Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
Only 2 ?
RB to replace Bardsley or even to better Lowton
CB to replace Tarks - plus maybe another to replace Dunne
LB with some pace to replace Pieters
WR to replace Brady
CM with pace and strength to improve on all
LW to cover for Dwight
Striker better than any of the current picks
Re: January Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
Hugely disappointing, yet again. God knows who the couple of players Mr. Pace expected through the door were.
Let’s hope and pray we have a relatively injury-free second half of the season.

Is there a 30 day cooling off period for this takeover?
I'd rather be debt free with a recruitment block, than in loads of debt with a recruitment block.

Oh trust me, I was being conservative. “To even better Lowton” is the minimum requirement for a right back over the course of the next two years as well.jojomk1 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 6:40 pmOnly 2 ?

Re: January Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
Just praying we have no injuries to Tarks & Mee, based on past performances in their absence. Personally feel, if we had had both fit and available from Game 1 this seasonr , we would almost be safe now, or certainly have more points. So not to have a serious back -up, since Gibson through his toys out the pram over 12 months ago, is inexcusable. We saw Dawson go to WHU on loan, and Ben Davies joining Liverpool for £2m.Either would have been sound investments
Before anyone says KL can more than deputise it made me think how many times yesterday when Chelsea went to the byline and put it across goal, and how many times the trusted duo cleared to safety. Any other injuries in other positions we can "make do" but these two guys are our spine
