I know its Man City buy Dyche gets the formation totally wrong everytime we played them, he learns nothing it's always 4 nil 5 nil and repeat, he surely must see 442 doesn't work v these
No idea on earth why he persists with it.

Not a lot more to be fair, but we are playing City you know. No one is breaking any squares tonight.

2nd half - I’d like to see us try and pass the ball forwards, rather than running and passing backwards before hooooooofing it.

The same old tactics every game vs City. Why not just try something different. Ok might lose still but we might surprise them.
Yes City are class but yet again we just make it all so easy for them.
Agree with this 100%. Not saying it would have made a huge difference, but we do the same against them every time, with the same results.

Has to be worth trying something a bit different

City sitting off not pressing us allowing us to have the ball, it's embarrassing that premier League footballers on excess of 45k a week are incapable of stringing a few passes together and look threatening

There is only one team across all of the top European leagues who have a goal per game ratio lower than us

I know, but it gave me a bit of light relief looking it up rather than watch our game and this messageboard :)

Pep used to describe a Turf Moor trip as a visit to the dentist...I reckon he thinks it’s more like a trip to a masseuse now because basically he has worked us out....wingers as wide as possible to give them as much space as possible around our back four...there’s not a lot we can do against that sort of quality tbh

At the end of the day we are facing a team consisting of some of the worlds best players and arguably managed by the worlds best manager. The financing is also from a very nasty country who use their ownership of a club to try to give them some form of 'respect' in international sport.

No matter who now owns our club we are invariably going to struggle.

Our tactic is always to defend narrow and invite high crosses which are meat and drink yon Tarkowski, Mee and Pope.
Really good teams play through our rigid lines with accurate short passes. Wing backs do us more often than not.

Other teams seem to cope better eg Sheff Utd at their place

It's all down to the manager and his tactics

It's a bit late in the day now, but I'd like to have seen us have an extra man in midfield from the start. It was especially an opportunity tonight to do this with the first choice front two both out.

Would it have made a difference? Probably not. But given our record against City, I'd say it was definitely worth a go.

And therefore, the same consideration should have been afforded Brady, against Chelsea. You were scathing on numerous occasions.

Really? No suggestion that it was and the commentator said it wasn’t. Looked pretty borderline on the still they showed at half time.

It's no good changing players, unless there are better options on the bench that could do better.
Our one hope is a corner or dead ball, and Westwood is the best we've got.

City have won how many on the trot, they are on top form, and top of the table. With players on the bench that cost more than our squad. Realistically they should stuff us 9 times out of 10. We live for the days of George Boyd, or Johannes equaliser, but we aren't entitled to sod all.
The players are doing their best, they just aren't good enough for City. Quelle surprise.
It does hurt, but I can't understand all the drama queenery.

Didn’t say it wasn’t. The problem is our strengths do not align well with this city team. I couldn’t care less what Sheff U do against them because they basically lose anyway and when they play us they lost this season as well. It is hard to adapt our tactics against this one team. Against everyone else they work ok.

All goals scored in the Premier League will automatically be checked by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).

Southampton asked if Mike Dean and Lee Mason can never ref them again.

Can we ask BT to never have this commentator again? He over pronouncing of the players names is really annoying.

Our players are so used to just waiting for the ball to be lumped in the box they just wait like statues.

Our movement is just awful, by comparison theirs is incredible. Every player moving in to space off the ball.
