Re: Wood/woods
I find it infuriating. It really isn't difficult to get a persons name correct especially when it is a name as simple as Wood. It's common courtesy IMO.

Re: Wood/woods
One of my favourites is the amount of people that call Gudmundsson the wrong name, calling him Gudjonsson. Not even the same person!!
And then there was the Sky commentator last week that was obsessed with Nicky Pope as his name

Slow down lads, I'm still trying to get used to Ashley Hoskins. Or not, as the case may be.
Did Tommy Cumming or Harry Pott ever have this problem?

Re: Wood/woods
It's likely because they are thick, disrespectful enough to not get someones name right, or dyslexic
Generally it's going to be the first 2 isn't it?

Haha! I just don't see how someone can call themselves a fan not even knowing the spelling of their players

Re: Wood/woods
Edward Woodward would, would he?
Or put another way:
Esau sawed wood. Esau Wood would saw wood. Oh the wood Wood would saw!
etc etc.
It finishes something like "I never saw a saw saw wood like the wood-saw Esau Wood saw saw wood would saw wood." And why that has been cluttering my brain for the last 40+ years when far better stuff has left it, I wish I knew.

According to someone, Stevens was crap last night.

Question for me is when is he going to be fit again? We need him very badly.

Re: Wood/woods
What’s wrong with the commentator calling Nicholas Pope ‘Nicky’ rather than Nick?
Do the same people have issues with someone calling Matthew Lowton ‘Matty’ rather than Matt?
