Ben mee
Looked a nasty one that. Unintentional of course. You know it’s an injury when mee goes down.

Why do you make a new thread each time? There's a match thread to discuss the game... You can add a post to a existing thread you know.

You could tell something was wrong. Can’t remember seeing that money Burnley players run over at someone going down injured

Re: Ben mee
Put on the other thread but seen as this one is specifically on Mee, isn't it 6 days before you are allowed to train again after a concussion, so Mee out of the Fulham game?

Does it mean he will be out for the fulham game then - even if everything checks out ok?

Re: Ben mee
As someone pointed out on the other thread it has to be confirmed as concussion first, but then of it is, I think from the rules he's definitely out if the Fulham game, though someone else may know better

Re: Ben mee
Good thing its Fulham and not City or Manyoo.
Re: Ben mee
We got 9 points out of the last 6 matches when Kevin Lon partnered JT in defence at the end of last season when Ben Mee was injured.

Re: Ben mee
commentators specifically said that the substitution was registered as a "normal" one and not a "concussion" one. They also said he left on the stretcher smiling and laughing.the_fat_shearer wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 4:45 pmPut on the other thread but seen as this one is specifically on Mee, isn't it 6 days before you are allowed to train again after a concussion, so Mee out of the Fulham game?

Re: Ben mee
Panic over.
Re: Ben mee
Not sure if what I've read is correct but under the rules for a concussion injury 6 days out is required, perhaps somone in the know will confirm.
Re: Ben mee
With concussion they always strap you to a stretcher as if it may be a broken neck as well. 90+% of the time it's just a precaution, but that's been the protocol for years.

Dyche said he is fine, he wasn't concussed and it was just a normal substitution

Dyche clearly playing the system here. If had been a concussion sub it might have meant Mee missing matches this week.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 6:03 pmDyche said he is fine, he wasn't concussed and it was just a normal substitution

Re: Ben mee
The concussion sub is a red herring isn't it? If he was concussed time off is mandatory isn't it?Jakubs Tash wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 6:13 pmDyche clearly playing the system here. If had been a concussion sub it might have meant Mee missing matches this week.

He either was or wasn't as a matter of fact. It looks like it would be hard to argue he wasn't.
Re: Ben mee
Great news for Big Ben
Re: Ben mee
Are you suggesting that Dyche is attempting to avoid concussion rules and ignore Mee’s wellbeing?Jakubs Tash wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 6:13 pmDyche clearly playing the system here. If had been a concussion sub it might have meant Mee missing matches this week.

I don’t have that view of Dyche at all and I’m not sure he’d garner the team spirit he does by acting in such a way.

Re: Ben mee
There is a lot of speculation on here about todays injury to Ben ...
Sean does not decide if its a concussion injury ...
Also the commentators do not decide if its a concussion injury ...
Its only a doctor that can decide if its a concussion injury ...
Lets leave it to the professionals

Re: Ben mee
No, I will repeat what I am suggesting - that Dyche is working the system. He’s giving himself, the medical professionals and Mee himself time to make a decision as to what is best. Had he said it was a concussion substitution then only one decision could have been made.

Re: Ben mee
If he’s been knocked out and substituted then he shouldn’t be playing on Wednesday .
Re: Ben mee
Mee will be back before Pieters imo. Pieters, a player I didn't rate before this season started, but I've been very glad he's on the squad.

Does the PL have an independent doctor at every game?

You could tell that there wasn't much up with the reaction of his team mates. Confident that he will be fit for the Fulham game

What was the reaction of his team mates? Quiet a few ran towards him when he was down on the deck.Top Claret wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 7:06 pmYou could tell that there wasn't much up with the reaction of his team mates. Confident that he will be fit for the Fulham game
What do you know that we don't? If a UFC fighter is knocked out, he cant fight for 6 months.

I know what you mean, but Rivaldo’s teammates did the same when the ball hit his arm and he dropped like a sniper’s headshot.Richardsbfc wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 7:20 pmWhat was the reaction of his team mates? Quiet a few ran towards him when he was down on the deck.
Re: Ben mee
Concussion isn’t a decision - he either was or wasn’t. Dyche buying time should have no bearing on it whatsoever.Jakubs Tash wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 6:47 pmNo, I will repeat what I am suggesting - that Dyche is working the system.
