Strange thing is that we always save our worse league performance for West Brom

You'd hope that was our worst league performance, surely we can't be as bad again, and yet despite not being at the races we still stole a point, and even though they had 10 men for much of the game, it speaks volumes how poor West Brom are that they couldn't beat us even when we had an off day.

Seen us play nearly as bad down at the Hawthorns over the years, although that performance today took the biscuit

I wish some brave reporter had asked him how much only having 3 wingers in the squad, two of which have a poor fitness record, affected today's performance.

With a follow up of was that also a reason why we score so few goals.

He’s very fond of the word ‘clarity’, is Mr. Dyche.

Or why we didn't get a couple of loans in to see us through the season

TBH that's been our trademark so often in the PL, but sadly no today. Having said that there's shite and there's utter shite and as I said on another thread I can't think of a worse, ENTIRE 90 minutes under Dyche.

Dyche ever a realist and honest as ever but why/how did it come to this? He fails to look beyond his nose and answer the long term question, an ageing unbalanced squad with more than its fair share of crocks. Let’s hope he puts it right before too long.

Yes and frequently used out of context.

This was one of my favourites when describing the Erik Pieters ‘admin’ error against Bournemouth in the FA Cup.

"It wasn't disruptive. It was just a simple admin error. We have people who keep an eye on situations, unfortunately it got away from that moment where someone found clarity.”

What does that actually mean?

You have seen Dyche's record with loans?

Pointless.

It's just corporate management jargon. God knows why he continually spouts such toe-curling garbage. Just talk like a normal person FFS and say things as they are.

Barry Kilby, someone who was actually in the business world, always spoke with such authenticity and humbleness, and gave a straight answer to everything.

Probably because he doesn't intend on staying so doesn't care about future talent. If so he understandably buys experienced players who are less likely of a gamble.

I hope he does stay beyond his current contract though

He's bought experienced players from the outset so I seriously doubt his strategy is based on selfish reasons and how long he intends staying here, especially given how long he has been here. He's done what he thought would serve the club best and that's hard to argue given the club's success under his management.

These 2 games a week, our injuries, and the age of the squad are biting us hard.
We were awful today, but hopefully now we have a chance to get players rested emotionally and physically.

What a bunch we have on here, no idea about football. Are you all youngsters looking for a bit of stimulus coz you can't control your twitches?
He's defending his players! They have worked their bloody socks off since Project Restart. As Dyche said they are mentally shagged, which inevitably brings out the horror show that was today. Yet we still got a point, survival is our aim so it's one step closer. We have beaten some big teams away and competed for the most part this year; an odd poor game now and then has to be accepted. If we hadn't beaten big teams like Liverpool, Arsenal and decent sides like Villa & Wolves then I'd share the worry but we're on 28 points not 18.
He accepted it was a below par performance but there's no need for criticism, they have given / are giving us all they can. Probably why most are at Burnley and not a Top 10 side!
