Jack Cork's replacement & new winger
After watching the Wales game how good would it be if we could get Aaron Ramsey. Think Juve would be happy for him to leave.
Get Dan James too on loan, looks like he can defend in a system with pace to burn. Think he'd suit us well.
Add in Young, Tarky to stay with our new found ambition/wage packet and a top 10 finish here we come!!
Gotta keep dreaming!

Bale played alright as well, might be worth a cheeky bid. And Soyuncu.

Much as I’d like to be, that’s two queues we won’t be joining.

He's earned his dough then. Guaranteed first team football after playing very little for a few years in Turin will get him. Manchester's just as nice if not better than there. The only thing he'll miss is the skiing.

I'd suspect that the contracts of professional footballers might include a few words regading hobbies like, skiing, motorcycling and skydiving.

Good God, what was Ashley thinking with that waistcoat?

Money their on you'd think they would remove the Primark price tags from their jackets.

In terms of a defensive midfielder I like the look of Patrick Berg from Bodo / Glimt.

https://www.sofascore.com/player/patrick-berg/355174
Along with Fredrik André Björkan, a left back from the same club, who is available on a free transfer if I'm not mistaken.

Dan Barlaser looked good in a poor Rotherham side that got relegated last season.
https://www.sofascore.com/player/daniel-barlaser/817564
Lewis Ferguson would be nice as a central midfield addition, but I'm guessing he will be very pricey at the moment.
Jamie McGrath at St Mirren looks to have something about him.
If it wasn't for the work permit barrier I would be considering
Frank Onyeka of Midtjylland as a defensive midfield option or his team mate Evander as a more attack orientated option.
Johannes Geis could be an option, but I really think we need someone young. We can't move forward needing to replace 3 of our 4 midfielders in two years time. A solid long term partner for Brownhill is what I think we need.
A new winger is trickier.
We might have to spend a bit to satisfy that requirement, going for Jed Wallace. However, on the basis we might need two I think that Jordan Graham might be an outside punt on a free transfer or Daleho Irandust.
Ignoring the work permit problem, Carlos Mane from relegated Rio Ave might have been a good option.

Some interesting players on that list. I think we would be expecting a hell of a lot for some of them to step up to premier league standard.Long Time Lurker wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 10:47 pmIn terms of a defensive midfielder I like the look of Patrick Berg from Bodo / Glimt.

I have highlighted a player from BodoGlimt before, he went to Watford in January and had an ok season.
Re: Jack Cork's replacement & new winger
Ramsey not at that stage of his career to want to reduce his wages by 90%
I am sceptical that any press story that mentions both Burnley and Watford is just agents trying to push the prices up and Burnley weren’t really interested

Re: Jack Cork's replacement & new winger
Yeah, I suspect the Ashley Young story is just a rumour to get fans onside and show them we're looking at ambitious signings. I can't believe it's serious enough that we could land him from the champions of Italy. He'll be on high wages even for there & their board are looking reduce the wage bill hence why Conte left.
