Brilliant.
Might sound daft, but after watching international footy all these years, this Italian are the most un Italian side I've ever watched.

Re: Today's Games
Lifeline for Belgium who didn’t look like they would have had enough to get back into it had they gone in 2-0 down.
Re: Today's Games
Had it been 2-0 at half time I think it probably was game over.....but now

Re: Today's Games
Running at that pace all it takes is a slight push.
Italy have been fantastic in the first 45 and hoping for plenty more in the next 45 (or more) from both sides.

Re: Today's Games
Good 1st half that, more of the same 2nd half please guys.
Brilliant finish for Italy's 2nd, but a daft push that allowed the ref to award a spot kick, yes it was soft, but if you make a rash decision as the defender did you will normally be punished.

Excellent game so far - we have been spoilt in this Euros with a lot of them.

Re: Today's Games
yep agree, other than Veratti - he's just a little **** who wants to ref the game himself. I've never understood why refs tolerate him

You're right they have. If score stays the same it will be great to see if the Spanish can pass their way through the Italian press.Taffy on the wing wrote: ↑Fri Jul 02, 2021 9:14 pmThe Italians have made Belgium look very ordinary so far........team to beat.

Re: Today's Games
Italy look in total control (up until that chance) but they’re refusing to put the handbrake on which could be their undoing. Equally they could kill the tie.

Re: Today's Games
Italy are playing this exactly right, they smell the weakness of the ageing Belgium defence and are looing to finish this game off, quite right in my view, as sitting back against the quality Belgium possess is asking for trouble.

Re: Today's Games
This referee btw is the one who had the half time visitors in his dressing room when we played in Greece against Olympiacos.

Bit more like the Old Italy these last 10 minutes.
Never a foul on their keeper either.

Re: Today's Games
Belgium’s golden generation about as effective as England’s. A better manager would have got more out of that team.
Italy, for all their nice play are still an ugly, horrible team. It’d be lovely to beat them in the final, if we can make it.

I'm beginning to think that the current rules are making the game almost impossible to referee....
and not much easier to watch.

Re: Today's Games
Well deserved win for Italy , as soon as their brilliant attacking left full back went off they decided to shut up shop. They will miss him badly but a team who can attack and defend equally well is going to go very close

Re: Today's Games
I shouldn't joke, but that might be everyone else's both chance of beating them, it does seem bizarre after what happened at Wembley that they'd risk going so close to the fans however.
