Walsden losing their humility. Not that they have any anyway. Umpire walking to talk to their captain after Joe Gale effed and jeffed all the way back after being given lbw..much to the amusement of the jeering crowd 😁

Doesn’t bother me but they’re bad for it , given W****r and Vs to spectators whilst you’re in the middle, arguably deserve it but it’s poor with kids watching.

The language has been bad all game

Not a lot to do in Walsden in fairness (even the chippy has gone) so been angry with the world is probably a favourite past time

Good to see the majority of the players getting on after the game. There are certain Walsden players who you can rely on to be gobby and full of themselves. It isn't the team as a whole. The thing is they are a cracking team they just dont need to have that nasty edge that some of them provide. They get cocky and mouthy and leave themselves open to being wound up when it goes wrong like today...then the toys come out of the pram.

Really? Looked quite busy to me. Certainly a lot busier than a regular league game. I'd say certainly as many as we get on T20 nights.

Wow. What a game.

House were virtually dead and buried following their dismal batting performance.

Walsden are a very good side and would have had the expectation of chasing 130 with ease.

How they were wrong.

The Walsden openers had their stumps uprooted early doors by Hawke and Haasbrook and Lowerhouse put on the pressure. A brilliant piece of fielding by Francois ran out the Walsden professional and we were all over it.

Clitheroe beckons for the final with the expected 'House invasion.

Fantastic win for Burnley in the Lancashire cup and will play in the final on old Trafford, I’ll likely go over for that with a few of my Burnley mates

Anyone any idea who they play? It could be Ormskirk I think who House played in the rain wrecked final..and who defeated us on a coin toss this year. Still rankles does that.

Great win for Lowerhouse. Pulled it out of the bag.

Burnley in the Lancs KO final, a comp that since the LL have been able to enter properly they’ve pretty much dominated!

It’s some league this new look Lancashire League.

A great day for local cricket in Burnley.

Congratulations to both clubs and what a great opportunity for the Burnley players to play at Old Trafford. Hopefully it's not rain affected like the Lowerhouse game there.

Great win for the House.

Verbals started pretty early with the Walsden bowler nearly taking off Ben Heaps head when taking a shy at the " wickets". Words were exchanged.

Nothing the House faithful enjoy more than a bit of crowd/player banter.

I think it was the guy given out LBW who after having a good swear as he left the pitch then proceeded to march around the ground with a face like thunder.

Clitheroe here we come "The House on Tour ".Any chance of a special train going?

Lowerhouse win and bopper returns :D

Good effort by lowerhouse to reach the final, a team closer to the bottom 3 than top 3 reaching a final shows anyone can do it and be nice for them to have a day out.

Top win for Burnley well done on doing the town proud.

I spotted him  , I think he was looking for who’d been giving him grief, tbf he did get some belters for his large frame. Like I say, I quite like a bit of needle, just not the swearing in front of loads of youngsters watching.

Sorry for not posting more frequently but I have a life away from UTC.

Anyway well done to Bumley CC who are following in the House,s footsteps and playing a final at Old Trafford.

Be nice to end the title aspirations of BCC when they visit the West End.

It's a big shame for local cricketers if they don't get the chance to play on Old Trafford.

A bit of a crass comment in your quest for banter.

Always a few Housers that let the side down. People like Somethingfishy and 89 who engage in decent conversations about the game then you just get idiots like bopper popping up after a victory.

I hope you all enjoy the Worsley cup final just like i will enjoy watching Burnley wherever the final is played

It’s poor if the final isn’t at OT.

When Lowerhouse played there, it was a fantastic day despite the weather with Lancs really rolling out the red carpet going as far as a sit down meal and free bar for club officials etc.

Seems ridiculous that they can’t find a day to fit it in. I know the intention at the start of the season was that it would be at OT so not sure what has changed if it isn’t.

There will be the usual (limited) public transport on a Sunday :

Train to Blackburn and transfer to Clitheroe.
Direct Bus to Clitheroe from Burnley, calling at all the stops along the way including Padiham and Whalley. Once an hour.

However, the club may run transport directly from Lowerhouse to Clitheroe as per other 'big away games' we have had over the last few years. There are plenty of people who prefer to take the arranged transport. Getting back from anywhere via train or bus on a Sunday evening is going to prove difficult. A taxi / Uber from Clitheroe back to Burnley will be around £30.00.

It must be remembered that finding a pub open in Clitheroe before noon on a Sunday is unlikely. However, we may enter in discussions with a pub near the ground about an early opening. The owner has opened early for us in the past. Whilst the bar at the cricket club serves some of the best real ales around, prices are at a premium.
