Because many of us are not too keen on Arsenal.and thats putti g it mildly. I hope Brentford nail them personally.

if we are relying on Brentford's results to stay up then we will only have ourselves to blame. Worry about us

Pundits on NBC picked their 3 for relegation. Nobody picked Brentford. Le Saux picked Burnley Of course. Most picked Norwich Watford and Southampton. Interesting!

Re: Brentford v Arsenal
Strange how the goal was so similar to Aubameyang’s ont’Turf last season. Lowton took a roasting of comms for not forcing him onto his left foot. Not a word said about Chambers not doing the same.
Ben White, £50m? Pants down I think. He’ll never lace Tarks boots.

Gary Neville said that Chambers should have been tighter to him.

Re: Brentford v Arsenal
They are underdogs, Burnley fans (should) always relate to them
It's Arsenal
We won't get relegated after week 1
It's Arsenal
Wanting Arsenal to beat Brentford is like wanting the local orphanage to burn down
It's Arsenal
I hate the fact that some Burnley fans have such a low opinion of us and by extension our manager, that we need (in their eyes) after week 1 favours from Arsenal.

Can't stand Arsenal but there's only one good result for Burnley here and that's an Arsenal win.

Brentford might shock a few teams this season,in 45 minutes they looked a better team than last seasons bottom three,I think if we are relying on Brentford being as shite as last seasons three relegated sides,I think we might be in for a shock

Couldn’t care less if it was Arsenal, Leicester or any other top half team. Brentford will almost certainly be down near the bottom come May, and we should want them to to struggle. Caring for underdogs (or orphanages) is for after we’ve got 38 points on the board!

Jesus Christ guys, it’s gonna be a long hard season if you’re so invested in every single game. Obviously Brentford are a bigger rival than Arsenal but it’s the first game of the season. Chill mon

I’m sorry. I thought this was a thread about the game and who is playing.
Re: Brentford v Arsenal
Neither am I, but if them beating teams that are likely to be around the bottom of the league, enables us to do what your user name indicates, then I’ll not begrudge an arsenal win!

Re: Brentford v Arsenal
I think Brentford may do a bit like Sheffield Utd in their return season, and surprise a few with energy and workrate (and a little bit of flair).
What remains to be seen is if they can sustain it for the whole season.
how good are there reserves?
Re: Brentford v Arsenal
Come on you Gunners, never thought I’d ever posted that

Arsenal looking likely relegation fodder. They hold possession well but poor at the back and in attack.
Easy win for Brentford

Well, if var is going to work that should’ve been disallowed for a foul on the keeper. Ridiculous!

Possibly! but it's worth remembering Norwich beat Man City in one of their early fixtures a couple of seasons ago, and enjoyed a bright start to their season, however the bubble quickly burst for them once injuries begun to bite.
2-0 Brentford and probably game over.

Regarding wanting Brentford to lose. I'm certainly not going to stop rooting for the underdog at this early stage of the season. If I did, I might as well avoid watching EPL games on TV unless two of the so-called big six are playing each other.

He might not last the month, next 2 for Arsenal, Chelsea (H), Man City (a).
There is good news we've moved up to 4th, and are in a CL place as it stands.

Great result. My only Burnley bets are for us to finish in the top half so I see Arsenal as our direct message rivals not Brentford.
