Retro V Shirt Sold in Club Shop.
Looks pretty smart......
Has anyone seen or even purchased it ? How does it look in real life ?
Can’t get to the club shop to see it so any help would be really appreciated.

Do you mean the Umbro one or the 1960/61 league winning shirt ? I have the latter and it’s very good quality.

I imagine he means the “Peter noble” shirt. 74-77 ish I think.
Quite groundbreaking in its day.
It’s a great shirt. I have it, and I have a spare all wrapped up for when this one dies a death.
Buy it, you won’t be disappointed.

Thanks all, yes the Peter Noble shirt.
Bobinho, have they got the material right ? I had the original as a kid and it was neither a heavy cotton or the newer polyester. More like a course “sack cloth?”

Mmmm… it’s quite a modern material, but not like the really light stuff they are made from now.
I had the “toffs” reproduction of it without the Umbro diamonds in white on it, and that was heavy cotton, but the new Umbro repro is much lighter.
I love it. Never have it off.

Re: Retro V Shirt Sold in Club Shop.
Talking about the 1960 retro shirt, like the one that Jordon North was sporting outside the Turf, I have an unworn, brand new one in a xxl size which cost £30, it’s massive and way too big for me.
I am happy to give it away to a fellow claret for free (perhaps a donation to the food bank)
I would also be happy to post it on to whoever would like it.
I will need your postal address, unless you live near Durham haha.

Was a crap shirt then. It’s still a crap shirt.
Re: Retro V Shirt Sold in Club Shop.
My first replica Burnley shirt, a Christmas present in 1976 and the my first Subbuteo team (Christmas’77). The ‘V’ shirt is one of my all time favourites.
Re: Retro V Shirt Sold in Club Shop.
At least it's original, unlike the Aston Villa copy kit.

Re: Retro V Shirt Sold in Club Shop.
I also bought the 1988 away retro.
Looks like a very faithful reproduction, minus the Spall badge.
