I know that England have their share of idiot fans but the abuse just given to Sterling there when he scored was nothing short of disgusting.....

The atomosphere had turned sour now after our goal, I wouldn’t want to be an England player taking a corner.

Re: Hungary v England thread
I think most probably assumed the message on his shirt was political, either BLM or gay rights. That is what I assumed at first to be honest before we got told what the message was. I don’t know Sterling was expecting to happen. A bit naive from him to think the Hungarians would let him be.ClaretDiver wrote: ↑Thu Sep 02, 2021 9:01 pmI know that England have their share of idiot fans but the abuse just given to Sterling there when he scored was nothing short of disgusting.....

Re: Hungary v England thread
2-0 Kane, game over methinks. an assist from Sterling who's been England's stand out performer on the night.
I think we can start preparing for Qatar chaps.

I think we've played really well, total control
Re: Hungary v England thread
Does England and its marketing ploys of white shirts, red shirts and now blue, realise that the Union flag is British not English and the blue belongs to Scotland?
Also, these little button up tops are pure 'casual wear' rather than a football shirt. Profit first and last is the FA.
Yuk!

Re: Hungary v England thread
With international kits the colours don’t really have to be the same as the flag. For example the Netherlands play in orange, Italy blue, Germany white and even sometimes green.IanMcL wrote: ↑Thu Sep 02, 2021 9:09 pmDoes England and its marketing ploys of white shirts, red shirts and now blue, realise that the Union flag is British not English and the blue belongs to Scotland?

3-0 Maguire header from a corner, I think it's safe to say Hungary are having trouble with the Harry's.

Let’s see what punishment Hungary get for the behaviour of there fans tonight ? If England behaved like this at Wembley well we all know what would happen.

They are the colours known by the world. England is white with red as back up.thelaughingclaret wrote: ↑Thu Sep 02, 2021 9:13 pmWith international kits the colours don’t really have to be the same as the flag. Re: Hungary v England thread
Hungary has a fascist government. We shouldn't be surprised that it spreads to sections of their fans.
Ferencvaros is particularly notorious for it.
For my membership, i had to get a retina and palm print scan, and it scans both each time you go into the ground

Impressive display this, and at a difficult venue, this is a real marker that England have got over the disappointment of the Euro's.
And this was exactly what was needed after that penalty heartache against Italy.

Re: Hungary v England thread
What a player is that Kevin Phillips. We should have taken a bigger risk, but then we always used to take even bigger ones like when Marney got injured and when we were left with just Johan in cm.

When people just accept it as normal is when you know you've lost.
