Poland v England
Hardest game of the group tonight a tough trip to Warsaw. Win tonight and that basically seals qualification for Qatar as far as I’m concerned the rest should be comfortable.
Still think we will have way to much for them I’m going for 2-0 England.
COME ON ENGLAND !!

Always enjoy watching Poland v England. I remember they pushed us all the way in 2006. Talking of which I got 3 points on my licence on going to the match v Poland at old Trafford and 3 on the way back !

Think Nick has had it now with England.Southgate is never going to see him as first choice. In some ways am glad as it keeps him out of the shop window and injury free.Feel sorry for Nick though as barring his injury he may well have been first choice.

Re: Poland v England
Tough first 10 minutes for England, Poland starting on the front foot.
Also a soft early yellow for Phillips, so he'll need to tread carefully now.

How the hell was Phillips tackle a yellow but the lunge on Grealish wasn't

Re: Poland v England
Ref actually doing ok now and not falling for the “won” fouls.
Kane’s free header on the edge of the six yard box was on its way out for a throw…. If that had fallen to lewandowski, we’d be one down by now.

Very dull so far. Some passes bouncing off England players like a brick wall.
Referee and his officials poor overall.

Thought that was an entertaining half. Both teams going for it and plenty of needle in the game.

Standard.
Re: Poland v England
Grealish started to come into the game in the last 10 minutes. All Kane seemed to do was give the ball away a few times.
I fancy Poland to score first.

I think if I was Southgate I'd channel my inner Olympiacos and storm the referee's dressing room after that showing

Hopefully second half is better than that.

Re: Poland v England
No I just disagree that it was a bore fest. Two teams who were fairly evenly matched and looking to attack. Tackles going in from both sides. A lack of quality in key areas but give me that over a game between England and Andorra or the like.

Usual booing and whistles at the start of the game when England tried to make an anti racist statement- Seems like we still have a long way to go to educate the ignorant.
Apart from that, poor attacking from us.

Re: Poland v England
Pretty bland 45, but a point would be an ok result for England tonight, Poland trying to make it a scrappy encounter, and they are succeeding in that respect.
England simply need to move the ball quicker, too many touches when one pass will suffice.

I thought it was a good first half. Good to see England up against a team that can beat them. Poland look most likely to score. Time for Gareth to shake it up.

Meaty for a change. I don't mind it being a bit rough. Oo, er, missus.
Re: Poland v England
Not sure what’s funny?
Re: Poland v England
Not bad, bit to much side to side then back to centre half at times but possession is vital not to concede.
Re: Poland v England
Beat these 2nd half
Possibly a red card too

Re: Poland v England
Agree with the pundits at HT that there was too much ‘safe play’ from England in the first half. Phillips especially while Mount has been very quiet.

Ok, so ignoring your insult, please expand on why you think booing an anti-racist message is a good thing to partake in?gandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Wed Sep 08, 2021 8:49 pmYour predictable pretentious post. Maybe, just maybe, the many people booing arnt ignorant, and have good reasons for doing so.
