When The Ball Moves...

Post by whentheballmoves » Fri Oct 29, 2021 2:21 pm

Afternoon!

Just been going through the eaves and found boxful of old issues.

Am proposing selling them in random packs of five to raise money for BFC in the community and / or Burnley foodbank. If not, they're going in the recycling.

If you are interested, please reply on here. I've no idea of price yet - maybe £2.50 plus postage (which I will have to confirm if / when there's any interest...

Hope this is OK, Claret Tony...cheers!

Barnsey

I was thinking about fanzines in general t'other day. Surprised someone hasn't set an app up selling them. Charge a couple of quid for a new edition every month, no cost for printing! Used to love WTBM.

Anybody know where the title "When the ball moves" comes from? Is it a pun or does it refer to anything in particular? Always wondered.

Finally getting round to sorting this out...can you please PM me or email barnseytheclaret@hotmail.com ?

Should be able to sort sending them in the next few days.

Will give money to Emmaus , one of Peter Pike's chosen charities, in his memory.

I'll try my best to get some with Matt's contributions in - he was fairly regular for years!

As the fanzine came out around the time of Ian Wright's signing, it was a direct quote from Stan Ternent when we signed him. Something along the lines of, "When the ball moves, Ian wants to play football".

So there you have it! Mystery solved! :-)
