I've just seen that myself! In front of exit 3?
The new buzz word is vomitory 3. After a tannoy announcement on a Baggies match recently.
Even the comms guy said he’d never heard it before.
A couple of days later I was booking tickets for Thomond Park. Taking a friend with walking difficulties but needed to be upstairs for seating. The agent said these tix are right by the vomitory.

There was plenty of Blackburn parents & kids in Rovers clothing, was nice to see nobody giving them any stick, no booing of the knee, no booing of the Czech national anthem… obviously werent many Burnley fans on

My daughter loved it, arrived 15 minutes before and queued for 2-3 minutes to get in the JMC Lower

Lee Carsley was very complimentary about our training ground and how well they'd been looked after. all reflects well on the club

Arrived just over 15 mins from kick off and got straight in the Longside Upper although the turnstile bloke eventually just let me go through when my QR code didn't work. Clearly problems later because people were coming in for some time after kick off.

First half enjoyable, second half was far less so.

Guess it doesn't help when one coach/guardian has to get 10 or 15 youths through turnstiles at once!

Our queue actually moved fast and we were seated just as England scored the first. Lad was happy with the flag and enjoyed his first England game as a 3year old 😊 No hotdogs left at h/t in the bottom tier :?

Couldn't get his head around us being England and Burnley fans though "I don't want to be England - I want to be Burnley"

We were a group of 28 adults and kids. Our group didn't make it to the ground until around 1850 (10 mins to spare.)
We were still queuing in the original queue at 1910. There was somebody blocking the turnstile, for reasons that weren't clear, for approaching 5 minutes. Didn't get to our seats until 1915. Then, almost our entire row was occupied by people who had decided they preferred our seats to their own.

England game reflections

Post by PadihamThickNeck » Thu Nov 11, 2021 9:50 pm

Great performance from the young lions first half played some really good stuff, faded away the second half. Gordon and Gallagher the two stand outs for me.

Lots of families and kids there even two lads from Blackburn sat behind me heard one say ‘what a shIthole when he arrived’ then when the attendance of 6k was read out he said what did we get against Hull

I thought the National anthem was very very poor nobody at all seemed to be singing except me and my mate.

The free flags on entry was brilliant especially for the kids.

The England band are bloody awful I had the pleasure of being near them and I tell you what I couldn’t do with that every week ! I know why people are anti drums at football.

Seemed to be lots of problems with people arriving late and in the wrong seats, heard people saying it took half an hour for them to get in. This needs to be sorted ASAP. The QR code system needs some serious work.

Well done Burnley a good night. I’d love for a first team England game to be at the Turf even if just a friendly but I doubt the Turf is big enough.

We were in with 15 minutes to spare having arrived at about 18:35 as I wasn't sure what the crowd would be like snd I was taking the family on.
However my mate and his family missed the first 2 goals and said there were still quite a lot of people behind him in the queue.

Also the facilties ran out of stuff, they only took card ( we knew thst being clarets fans, the mates wife didn't though )
We had the chance to put on a show tonight, however I'd imagine if anyone was a first time visitor to Turf Moor tonight, they will have left quite disappointed with their of the field experience, it didn't run smoothly at all.

Arrived at 18:45, didn’t get seated until 19:20 so missed the first two goals.

It’s a good job it was cheap because it was a bit of a shambles.

They are just not listening are they? The Liverpool game at the end of last season was a shambles and there have been problems at every game this season.

Only Burnley could struggle to accommodate a crowd of about 7 thousand in a ground that holds 20 thousand. We nearly gave up and went to the pub but managed to get in about 10 minutes after kick off.

We were a group of 22

Met outside the Park View at 6:30 and made our way round to JHL we got in just as the national anthems were playing

We had to ask 2 sets of fans to move as they were in the seats. If we weren’t such a big group wouldn’t have been an issue

Inside the ground, I mistakenly speculated that some fans might’ve assumed it was 7:30pm KO as there were still people coming in well after the game started.

I don’t understand why there are problems? That stand has been open since 1996 and people have been able to get in before the match starts. Obviously the system that’s been installed doesn’t work.

Because they make you go to a specific turnstile now. Obviously the centre seats of the stands are more populated so the queues at the central turnstiles are massive compared to the outer turnstiles, where as before everyone could use any turnstile, so all they have done is created a bottle neck for no reason as once through the turnstile your free to roam the full concourse. Just crazy and easy to fix I would have thought as it was fine last season.

People all around us were having to move after the game had started because they had sat in the wrong seats.
I found it all a bit strange!

That will be a knock on effect of people still waiting to get in the ground. As those with less desirable seats will see empty seats after kick off and think that the owners of those seats are not coming to the match, and move for better seats.

There was a huge Contrast in attendance from 3 minutes before kick-off to 20 mins after Kick off. I can understand why people might’ve moved seats

You might be able to answer this, was there any specific reason the squads weren’t displayed on the screen during the game?

Was difficult to know who some players were and I spent a lot of time fielding questions from the kids I took asking who players were 😂

It will have been made worse last night by people taking big groups of kids on. Having 10 different QR codes on a phone and trying to keep control of 10 kids behind you can't have been easy.

FA decision, they gave us all the all the content and they were really specific about everything that was displayed. They even asked us to stop showing in-game replays.

Spot on, we had seats in block 5 on the half way line yet we had to enter via entrance M, this was the furthest turnstile to the right you could go almost in the cricket field entrance, bloody crazy

That's not the case. You can still use any turnstile for the stand you are going in. That is very definitely not the problem. People going to the wrong turnstiles is causing delays as are these QR codes. Mine didn't work last night, the turnstile bloke eventually just told me to go in. It's the first time I've had to use one since the Liverpool game last season when again some of ours didn't work.

CT It is absolutely not the case that you can use any turnstile for the stand you are going in mate. I have tried personally after seeing the turnstile further down empty and the queue for turnstile K was backed all the way up to the cricket filed lane, to be told "no you need to use turnstile K as it states on your card" and I have also seen people turned away from turnstiles in front of us for the same reason on 2 different matches. However could be poor luck on the guy running the turnstile, accepted.

As I've said, not the case. No one else ever sees my card. I scan it and go in and it is accepted at any turnstile for the Longside upper. Nothing has changed in that respect. The only change this season for season ticket holders is that you now scan the card yourself.

People are being turned away because they are going to turnstiles for the wrong stand. The lack of the words UPPER and LOWER at the turnstiles were reported after the Brighton game yet three months later nothing has been done. I know they are temporary but surely they should have sorted it.

Saw them messing with the banners above the Bob Lord turnstiles today, maybe, just maybe they are sorting them out around the ground.

It is the case and you are wrong Tony, three of us tried to use the middle entrance for last night's game and was told to queue up again and use the entrance that matched the letter on my ticket......amd it was for the same stand James Hargreaves lower for both, bloody crazy and maybe that's why the queues were ridiculous

I'm not wrong because we didn't use the ones on our tickets last night and haven't for league games. If that's happening it is crazy. Why is the scanner rejecting it? That's the question I'd ask.

The stewards were going along the queues checking tickets before getting to the turnstiles, and telling people to move

Yep, this was most certainly happening.

People queuing in 1 line, to then be told after 5 minutes of queuing or when at the turnstiles, to then go and join another queue with the correct letter, as displayed on the ticket.

I also noticed there were no actual info on which turnstiles were upper or lower meaning some who just turned up to any might have joined the wrong tier queue altogether.

Like I said, for any 1st time visitor to Turf Moor last night, it would have seemed we couldn't organise a pass up in a brewery. It was all so very disjointed and a unnecessary logistical nightmare.

Hi Tony, This picture was taken before the Brentford match, and we tried the turnstiles further down also for the upper tier and was quickly refused and told to stand in the queue for turnstile K and he showed us the rear of our season ticket card where it stipulates this. Many others received the same from both ends of the longside, and joined the queue behind us.

Once or worst case twice maybe understandable, but for this not to have been fixed yet is mind boggling. It must be deliberate, because any halfwit could fix it if they tried.

Easy fix...REMOVE the stupid letter's like K and M and replace with upper and lower
