Re: MATCH OFF.
As far as I'm aware don't have covers, match saver was removed 10 years ago when new drainage and the dresso pitch installed. I didn't believe at the time but the pitch and drainage has worked.
Undersoil heating deals with the frost, snow risk is what it is, likely surrounding areas would get the match off including the condition of the lower tiers
Besides didn't they clear the pitch only for it to be snowed on again

Well, I'm only left wing because the right have gone way, way, way, way too far to the right

I'd never say "be kind" mate, that would be a bit weird!arise_sir_charge wrote: ↑Sun Nov 28, 2021 3:20 pmLancaster portrays himself as an understanding, thoughtful liberal type, one of the ones that say “be kind” etc but he loves joining a pile on on here, as can be seen from his messages on this thread.
And you can't beat a good internet pile on, when both protagonists get exactly what they are hoping for!
But if I can just explain my reckoning on the threads that really annoy me if you don't mind
I get piled on by the racists, for pointing out that they are racists (something that Rowls is not btw)
Now I do it because I know the majority of the board don't want racist posts, and by highlighting it, it results in people reacting so that the racists know they are outnumbered
And I am an understanding, thoughtful liberal type, but I just can't racists
I hope that clears it up

I disagree with the likes of Dsr on stuff like Brexit and politics, but we are very much in agreement on how the club is run (well, at least until the takeover)
I disagree with Rowls on this thread because I thought he was being very unfair to the people who made the decision, and I highlighted the other things he's not an expert in to back up my point.
Taio was quite right that I probably shouldn't do that, but I've been arguing with Rowls long enough to know his modus operandi now, and he's got exactly what he wanted out of this thread
And so have I
I wouldn't have a problem with Rowls if I should ever meet him btw
Others on here I would have, and I'm sure they would with me

There's about 5/6 over the top liberal types on here who cannot ignore a post and try to change the world from the comfort of their homes. They'll carry on the debate (argument) until the thread gets pulled or they've climbed so far up their own arses that they can't find the submit button.

Was Roberts on the bench or not involved again as there seems to be no record of the teams for today on the club site or the BBC one.

I don't know why on earth some people think this is about politics. It has nothing to do with politics. Anyone who talks about this as if it is something to do with politics or "grabbing attention" clearly has that as their ulterior motive.
My motive is simple: Looking out for football fans. The football fans have suffered today. We've lost out financially and we've had our time wasted. It was clearly the wrong decision.

Re: MATCH OFF.
OK martin, act the clown when we all know what I meant.
I was very clearly talking about football fans in general. The we I am referring to is football fans in general.
The game could very easily have been played with a slight delay. People will have travelled from near and far. At least one Tottenham fan came from the USA to watch.
It was a poor decision.
Maybe people are so stupefyingly risk averse these days and scared of everything that they think it's perfectly fine to disregard supporters like this but I don't and it's annoyed me.
If the conditions had been unplayable then fine. But that wasn't the case. As we've seen the was bright sunshine and clear blue skies only 30 minutes after the scheduled kick off time.
It's indefensible not to have at least considered delaying the decision.

It's a bit weird how we're yet to see a single poster, who was actually affected by today, show as much outrage and disgust as Rowls, who wasn't even going anyway.
Almost as if he's just 'virtue-signalling' or something.

Football fans were clearly disregarded in the decision. That surface was completely playable barely 50 minutes after the decision and 30 minutes after the scheduled kick off we had clear blue skies and sunshine.

Re: MATCH OFF.
Fair play to you for sticking to your guns and I do think you are sincere about the fans losing out financially.
Being from an older generation it was normal to have at least two games a year pp. Although folk didn’t travel the distances they do now.
I’ve finally caught up with the round up on sky. Bankes kicking the ball around and the manager interviews. It looked like a pp to me. The ref has to take player safety into consideration with the existing H&S laws and these are multi-million pound assets sliding around out there.
Dormez bien.

Re: MATCH OFF.
This is the attitude that I find baffling.
It's as if people have been conditioned to accept any kind of restriction if there is any kind of suspected "risk".
Many on here have agreed with me - the referee should have at least waited before calling the game off.
Certainly I've been a outlier and a bit of a black sheep all my life but to see people on here (yourself included) claim it was the correct call is like watching people all agreeing that 2+2=5
Some of them, notably Lancaster, John McGreal and -to a lesser extent- fidelcastro, are at least partially trying to wind me up and imagining it will make me angry but it doesn't; it's bread and butter to me.
2+2=4
The game today should have gone ahead.
