The main reason is not trusting the post to deliver on time.
Away tickets go off sale online on Wednesday dinner time of an away game. So that's Villa explained.

I've got my (2) Villa tickets, so a refund will be due, but it's a different story as regards the train bookings? I think not. It's my luck out. I'll be blazing!

If i was you I'd ring the club . I ordered my villa tickets last Wednesday and they arrived Friday .

Simple explanation - Villa now not available online and Man Utd and Leeds sold out. Would be helpful to fans if the message stated this instead of just saying 'No away games available'. Very poor communication by the Club (again).

Arrived today. Probably the Royal snail's fault then. But i will check the postmark when I get home

On Comms I approached Alan Pace in the fans zone before the WH game and said I was disappointed that he had not kept his promise about improving Comms. He asked me what Comms I was most concerned about. I said the club’ official Twitter account. We get far better Comms from Macclesfield FC ( where we live) on its Twitter feed than we do from Burnley. He said he would look into it or words to that effect.

There's actually Leeds tickets still on sale at the ticket office, not sure about United.
