Lowton struck by bottle thrown from crowd
A full bottle of Coke hit him on the head. Hr might consider himself a bit lucky really as that could do some real damage.
Should be a fine coming Leeds way and hopefully some analysis to identify the idiot responsible.
I love Leeds passion but some of their supporters take it too far too often. Such a shame.

Ground closed and points docked and game replayed at a neutral venue is the minimum sentence

Not much different to our fans hitting Barton on the head with a plastic bottle. Except our fan drank most of it first. Let’s not forget we can be as bad.

Re: Lowton struck by bottle thrown from crowd
Be a fine I imagine, whether any further action will result regarding the fan we'll just have to wait and see.
Strange mentality SOME football fans have, yes we're all passionate, but why throw objects at the ops players when they're celebrating a goal.

A lifetime ban is probably the minimum they will receive, and in addition they'll end up in court, with a criminal conviction to boot.

Objects shouldn’t be thrown full stop regardless of the opposition players celebrating the goal! It’s just unacceptable.
Re: Lowton struck by bottle thrown from crowd
Arsenal fans threw about 10 empty bottles on the pitch yesterday
Re: Lowton struck by bottle thrown from crowd
The thrower should be arrested and charged with assault. But I guess it’s just normal behavior at Elland Rd.

I'll never get bored of telling people what a shithole that place is and every resident there is an absolute scumbag. I hate the place.

As with all other clubs, the vast majority of their fans are decent. As with all clubs, they have their share of bell ends - we’ve plenty of our own.

Agreed but that shouldn't matter. Leeds should still be punished as we should have.Lowbankclaret wrote: ↑Sun Jan 02, 2022 6:13 pmNot much different to our fans hitting Barton on the head with a plastic bottle. Except our fan drank most of it first. Let’s not forget we can be as bad.

Does that include the Burnley fans that reside in Leeds?

Don’t disagree, but some of the posts are like we never did this in our recent past.
Personally don’t think we should even comment.
My ex missus was hit on the head with a pound coin thrown by our own fans in the JH upper.
You cannot educate stupid

Arsenal and Leeda need docking 3pts.
Fan behaviour needs sorting out. We're on the verge of going back to the 80s and if not nipped in the bud now will be hard to get under control again.

That’s just the intellect of some on this forum though isn’t it but it is right to highlight an issue regardless if we as a set of fans are guilty of it as well.Lowbankclaret wrote: ↑Sun Jan 02, 2022 6:34 pmDon’t disagree, but some of the posts are like we never did this in our recent past.

Leeds we’re a disgrace at the Turf , groups of lads walking from centre offering kids and families out, they’re feckin horrible fans and I dearly hope they get relegated

Didn't think it was neccessary to highlight one of our fans being equally as daft several years ago but yeah, that was plain stupid too.

Steady on lad .I was born and bred in Burnley and moved over here when I was 18 .Most people other than my first wife would say that I'm not a scumbag and neither are the vast majority of friends and acquaintances made here over 50 + years .SOME of the Leeds fans , quite a few actually , do have an inherent high level of aggression and violence and the term is well applied to them .It stems from the time when their team included its fair share of thugs , which we know to our cost , and ,whilst successful for a period , never endeared itself to anyone but them .tarkys_ears wrote: ↑Sun Jan 02, 2022 6:23 pmI used to work in Leeds

Back to the OP..find the culprit , name him , ban him and punish the club severely .

Yeah
You just know it is the kind of thing that really winds you up when he’s not on your team. Michael Antonio’s little dances against us always make my blood boil for no reason.

Post match, Phil Hay, the Leeds reporter, asked Dyche about this, who said the fan had ‘let himself down’ and praised the Leeds support as ‘magnificent’, which I found slightly odd, but maybe that’s just me.

I think in general they were. They appreciated the importance of the game and really were the 12th man.Swizzlestick wrote: ↑Mon Jan 03, 2022 9:26 amPost match, Phil Hay, the Leeds reporter, asked Dyche about this, who said the fan had ‘let himself down’ and praised the Leeds support as ‘magnificent’, which I found slightly odd, but maybe that’s just me.
To be honest though, our support was also magnificent for the second time in 3 days..

Doesn't like sticking up for us at the minute incase it upsets other clubs.

Absolute tosh most players run to the opposition fans when they score, it doesn't excuse the Leeds fan at all.Raconteur wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 3:36 pmIt's all Cornets fault according to Paul Robinson

Also I note this is the 2nd time such an incident has occurred at Elland Road this season, time for the authorities to take stern action against the club.
Max has just gone up even further in my estimation now anyone who winds up the Leeds fans is fine in my book.
