From what I've seen this season I had a little flutter on the 49ers. They look to have something about them

It’s on the BBC NFL page. That is an incredible weekend of games. Got to think KC with Mahomes will be the favs now.
KC are huge favourites... but...at nearly 4/1 I'll be lumping on the Bengals. With their weapons they can beat anyone (as they did v KC earlier in the season)

4 solid teams left Jimmy G being the weakest QB, of the 4, rules San Fran out for me.
I think Rams are the best balanced side either side of the ball so I’ll go with them.

Fair enough, although Mahomes is something else and just can't see past the Chiefs (when you add in Kelce and Hill as part of the Chiefs' offence).

Either way, the Champ games look great and, with those 4 teams, I'm hoping for another cracking Superbowl in mid-Feb

49ers have the best run game in the league and in Warner and Bosa have two all-Pros on the D. Jimmy G has been carrying injuries for weeks but clearly knows he’s in the last chance saloon with Lance ready and waiting, maybe even if he does win the Super Bowl. The fact the Rams are refusing to sell tickets to anyone outside of LA shows they’re rattled already.

I think Mahomes takes another ring this year.

Huge outcry here about NFL OT rules. Currently it’s a bit like a penalty shootout where if first team scores it’s all over !
For those not up on the rules. They toss a coin for possession. If first team gets a td it’s game over. If theY only get a field goal Then second team gets a chance to score a td. If they do they win. If they only get a fg then next score wins. Crazy
I believe the stats show that the side winning the toss still only wins about half the games, so on balance it's probably as fair as it can be. If both sides were guaranteed a possession then there would be a huge advantage for the team going second because they would know exactly what they had to do.

I agree, dsr.

It's still down to the team losing the toss to defend. If they do that effectively (and stop the oppo altogether), they then get an advantage in that a field goal wins it. If they limit the team who has the ball first to a field goal they also get a chance with the ball.

I actually don't have problem with things as they stand - think it's quite a good system, all things considered.

Shouldn't ever have been an issue, though, in this game, had Buffalo kicked off with a grubber kick (or whatever the Americans call that) and forced Mahomes to have one play to save the game (assuming, of course, Buffalo tackled the kick-off returner 'properly')

First game looks a blowout. Chiefs running away with it.

Wow. What a finish. Burrow and Chase will be something else for years. Had £15 on the Bengals/Rams double

WOW
Brilliant D from Bengals 2nd half & OT.
Mahomes ran himself knackered them last few plays.

Another excellent Championship game between the Rams & 49ers. No spoiler but it is decided late.
Interesting Superbowl to come Burrows, a star in the making, v Stafford or Jimmy G, both having something to prove after long careers.
I know who my favourites are and why but I’ll sit on it until Superbowl Sunday when we know how the injuries have affected both sides.
