Re: General Info - Brighton (a)
Remember there's train engineering works from three bridges (basically Gatwick) to Brighton.
So that's around 45mins/1hrs bus travel.

Re: General Info - Brighton (a)
It’s a long way to Brighton, then a pain in the rear to get to the ground, then a crappy view, expensive beer and a nightmare getting away on the train. Go on the bus or avoid. Oh, and their a right sensitive lot as well but give it out plenty. Team supported by Millennials, that would explain their sudden rise in supporters!
Looked at hotels for the night of the game, £300, must be half term!

Is going from Littlehampton as bad as via Brighton?
Re: General Info - Brighton (a)
Err I meant Newhaven not Littlehampton, it's a bit early in the day for me.

Lewes is always a decent stop before - some nice pubs/ale and easy on the train to Falmer.

Thanks for the tip about Lewes. The met office forecast looks great, just like the last three at home.

Any information/advice on parking near the ground will be gratefully received!
Re: General Info - Brighton (a)
Have a look on their club website. They run plenty of park and ride schemes.

A tip from previous seasons. The bars in the concourse remain open after the match with the screens on so you can hang around and have a beer and a pie (Brighton are possibly the best in the premier league for both) whilst the train queues go down.

I booked a place in car park by the Amex on Sunday. There were a few places left. Need to sign up on BHA site.
There are usually 3 park and rides, but one is closed. The other 2 operate on first come basis. The race course is a long bus ride from the ground.
Good luck.

Are you trying to tell us southerners know how to make a pie?

Re: General Info - Brighton (a)
On the train back to Clapham Junction a few seasons back I had a conversation with the family who make the pies at Brighton. They aren't local to Brighton. I think there was praise once in the media - but didn't mention that they had contract for pies at Amex.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Tue Feb 15, 2022 4:13 pmAre you trying to tell us southerners know how to make a pie?

Don't forget that your match ticket gives you free travel from within a certain radius of the ground. Details are on the Brighton club website.

There's also a slow train departing once an hour from Victoria if you're coming from/to London. It takes slightly longer (a bit over 2 hours) than the fast train/bus option but does mean that you can just sit on the same train for the whole journey.cockneyclaret wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 5:29 pmRemember there's train engineering works from three bridges (basically Gatwick) to Brighton.
