Good news.
Will be a huge task to get these supplies up to the front over land.
Putin needs Kyiv to fall asap so he can prop someone up on a podium to declare victory and demoralise enough soldiers and citizens to give up fighting.

timing will be the issue for sure. Having just watched the NATO press conference it sounds as though they are activating to a large degree, troops, air force and naval all being deployed to Eastern Europe - that in itself means an even greater amount of firepower will be available in the area.

OK
Ukraine is really fighting hard and winning the war, and Putin is a madman.
Russia is bombing and killing innocent people on purpose because they are evil.
There.

Why ? For simply challenging the idea that Biden
isn't an incoherent, stuttering hapless clown totally out of his depth. At the very time when the West is looking for a leader with the competence and qualities required.
Its not just me saying it. Check his current personsl poll ratings out.
There is a vacuum of leadership in the USA and therefore the "Free World" .

Weird how the Ukrainian President has just tweeted this. But no, let’s rehash some tired ‘look how old Biden is’ tropes instead - I mean, what does this guy know?

Up until the last page or so, barring a couple of out of place comments, this thread has been informative, educational, relatively polite, mainly on topic and pretty spot on.
People with a wider social media or political network might be fine getting their info from elsewhere, but for folk like me I kinda rely on this football messageboard, as weird as it sounds.
I did for the Covid stuff too, until that was ruined.
Don't let this thread be pulled - it's too useful and too important.
If you want to start a fight put a FAO <ENEMY> up and have at it, but don't **** this thread up.

Whilst I don’t want a single Russian to die, these are the single most important weapon Ukraine has. Takes seconds to fire and the firer can run off. But the impact on what it hits is devastating. No Russian tank or armoured vehicle Is safe from it.
Let’s hope Putin back out.

Nothing, but its just an invasion corridor into the Ukraine
They are trying to push in from as many points as possible to weaken the Ukrainians as much as they can

Not sure how the Ukrainian MOD can put a figure on Russian casualties but hopefully heavy losses may make Putin have a rethink. Opposition from the Russian public will surely grow the more lives are lost.

One of the advantages of controlling Chernobyl and setting it up as a base is that due to being Chernobyl it will not be subject to any air strikes and bombing

Might have more to do with posturing. And making sure no Russian fighters "accidentally" find their way into NATO air space.

Could this be a build up to us helping Ukraine, the PR to start support for it?
For one I think we should help.

Busy over Europe, you can't see them (but given the altitude of the tankers - refueling height) but there are lots of fighter jets in the air

We can't
We really can't
We can provide ammo, guns, tanks, whatever, but we can't help
If we help, then Putin has all the ammo he needs to say that this was always going to happen, plus the very realistic possibility of fighting between NATO troops and Russian forces, with all the dangers that entails
The harshest sanctions imaginable plus logistical support (certain NATO forces are still equipped with Russian military equipment, and that could be utilised and replaced by more modern up to date NATO equipment) is the way to go
