Todays footy

Post by Murger » Sun May 08, 2022 1:06 pm

Ideal scenario - Everton and Leeds lose.

If both win, I think it becomes too much for us.

Lots of changes for Leicester today doesn't fill me with confidence that they'll do the business.

Arsenal should win but they're so erratic who knows.

At least Arsenal have something to play for. I think Everton will do Leicester.

Yep it’s already in my head that Everton will win. Leicester will be tired from Thursday, plus without Maddison, Barnes, Vardy and Ndidi.

I think Everton are relatively safe. It’s between us and Leeds and we have to match their results to stay up. If they lose today then we are 1 game closer to survival. If however they draw or win it makes our job much much harder
So for today I am
A GOOOOOONER

Everton winning - I think we can put them in the ‘not going down’ category I’m afraid.

It’s us or Leeds.

With Everton's it was amazing that they'd only taken one point from their last ten away matches before today.

We need to at the minimum beat Newcastle but that still might not be enough.

Leeds have three games there more than capable of picking points up in.

I can't see us getting anything at Spurs or Villa

Leeds really look a total and utter mess here.

I was really disappointed with us yesterday, and we were poor by recent performances, but to be fair to the the lads we never looked like this.

Both Nketiah. Put him in my FF team this week as well- unfortunately didnt make him captain. Hope he can bang a few more in today - for more than just this reason.

The Leicester equaliser was a comedy as well. Everton defender went for a ball that his partner had covered, and the Leicester player was one on one.

Leeds could revert to type and start kicking their way out and possibly get a red or two as the desperation dawns on them.

Yes and both those sides will fancy they can get at Leeds defence, they simply can't keep clean sheets can they.

Massive, massive loss assuming that’s an injury. Let’s hope it’s a season ender (no permanent ill will to Yerry intended!).

Its a good point.
Brighton in particular looked on fire yesterday when they ripped United a new one and don't look in the mood to ease off.
