10 foot high perimeter fencing, nobody wants that but its the only way to stop these wild animals, and that is what they are.
Re: Absolute Disgrace...........
31 yr old questioned, imagine going on the pitch at that age never mind barging into a player on purpose, what an absolute berk.

Same thing happened to me years ago in a nightclub i got blindside with a right hook and got immediately thrown out by the bouncers, not a clue who did it but a cowardly attack.
This fella should have the book thrown at him and Forest should also be punished

Haven't seen it yet but this needs sorting out and punshing in a way that makes these kind of dicks think twice and I mean proper punishment not a couple of months on prison because mark my words one day some nob will want to make a name for himself and a player will get killed. Let's face it if they are wired up like this already I don't think it'll be difficult for the next stage as we see in every day life.

Same ground funnily enough, was Forest v Leicester in the FA cup.Herts Clarets wrote: ↑Wed May 18, 2022 12:06 pmWas it Middlesbrough v Forest earlier this season where a tub of lard ran on the pitch and started swinging at celebrating players? I believe he was sentenced to 4 months in prison. Not enough IMO
Re: Absolute Disgrace...........
as many said, shocking, reading the thread yesterday regarding the gay footballer coming out, I thought of what awaited him from his extremely brave announcement, this is the type of thing that I first thought of. A few said not brave as he should like anyone else be comfortable with his sexuality plus another another working on exec committees in regard to gender/sexuality in the work place. While I agree with the sentiment none of those occur with ten of thousands of people screaming at you for 90+ minutes, let alone if your on social media. I'm sure there'll always be that minority that will spoil things for everyone else. This just reinforces it for me, cowardly attacks at what is supposed to be entertainment, even if we have a tribal mentality, we're not at war really, this is what can/could lead to fencing in the crowd as the only way to prevent this
I really do hope they set an example and he goes to prison for a long time

Sadly fits int my experience of Forest ‘hardmen’. I was at a Ska festival in the 90’s when a gang barged in armed with pepper spry - they sprayed the cloakroom liberally and then attacked those effected before legging it as others realised what they were up to… as said total cowards and mindless thugs among their support.
Re: Absolute Disgrace...........
Huddersfield to win play off please. Nottingham Forest are up their with villa and Leeds and Newcastle in their arrogance.

Not condoning but if his team mate has just been floored and he feels they’re under attack, there’s a lot more context to it. Who knows what that fan was doing.TsarBomba wrote: ↑Wed May 18, 2022 4:53 pmhttps://twitter.com/brokenkingmusic/sta ... iUr56bm5jw

Re: Absolute Disgrace...........
They might be separate incidents or like you say McBurnie reacting after his team mate had been attacked.Burnley1989 wrote: ↑Wed May 18, 2022 7:56 pmNot condoning but if his team mate has just been floored and he feels they’re under attack, there’s a lot more context to it. The other scenario might be McBurnie stamped on the Forest fan and his dad went for revenge but got the wrong man in Billy Sharp.
Obviously we don't know which happened first or if even linked?
Re: Absolute Disgrace...........
Aye, context is everything, and a short clip can be edited to make a situation look like it isn’t.Burnley1989 wrote: ↑Wed May 18, 2022 7:56 pmNot condoning but if his team mate has just been floored and he feels they’re under attack, there’s a lot more context to it. But, if you’re weighing in on someone who is on the deck, then you are leaving yourself wide open. Difficult to try and justify it as self defence.

Well put it this way - anyone on that pitch and not a player or team staff, you could say they deserve what they get.

So all those Burnley fans on the pitches of Charlton and Scunthorpe deserved a shoeing?dougcollins wrote: ↑Wed May 18, 2022 9:32 pmWell put it this way - anyone on that pitch and not a player or team staff, you could say they deserve what they get.

Re: Absolute Disgrace...........
I was there last night working and stood right infront of it all on the pitch. I had to climb into the stand to get away from the scrapping. Sharp got nutted first and I don't think the McBurnie incident was anything to do with what had happened to Billy Sharp. I don't know what the kid did to McBurnie but he definitely gave him a good kicking. At first I thought it was two Nottingham Forest fans fighting then realised who it were when he was being dragged down the tunnel by a copper. I hope Huddersfield beat them now after seeing the way a lot of those fans behaved last night on the pitch. Old blokes abusing the Sheffield United staff and they were only young lads. I'd hate to see the way they'd have been if they had lost.

McBurnie is certainly going to prison at some stage of his life.
Been in far too many incidents already.

I take it that after review of the footage, you have disregarded the possibility that a man in a surgical boot might have trouble staying on his feet in the crowd?TsarBomba wrote: ↑Wed May 18, 2022 4:53 pmhttps://twitter.com/brokenkingmusic/sta ... iUr56bm5jw

Out in 12. I think that is more or less the maximum sentence a magistrate can hand out - 6 months in prison. Anything more has to go to Crown Court.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 12:35 pmHe’s been jailed for 24 weeks, the bloke who assaulted Sharp.

24 weeks, 500 quid fine and a 10 year banning order. Seems incredibly lenient especially the banning order

Think with banning orders 10 years is life, so it’s reviewed at 10 years and they will just give him longer.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 1:54 pm24 weeks, 500 quid fine and a 10 year banning order. Seems incredibly lenient especially the banning order

Far too lenient a sentence..Should be at least 2 years so he serves minimum of 1 year.Courts in this country are far too lenient.

Re: Absolute Disgrace...........
For starters he pleaded guilty so dealt by magistrates . There was no pre meditation ie he didn’t run on the pitch and head over ( no pun intended ) to Sharpe . Offence was ABH no weapon etc . Presume he had no previous either. He’d have got 2 yrs if he’d gone to trial so probs took the best option .
Nasty assault indeed, though I imagine he could lose out financially in the future loss of job etc

Re: Absolute Disgrace...........
Apparently, the thug received a lighter sentence because he had a 1000 a month mortgage and wouldn't be able to make the payments if he got a longer sentence.
Maybe he should have thought about his responsibilities before invading the pitch and targeting someone with a running headbutt.
The leniency shown here is an utter joke and in no way serves as a deterrent to like-minded scumbags.

His lawyer Rachel Gowans said the couple would be unable to keep up with mortgage repayments of over £1,000-a-month if he was jailed.
District Judge Grace Leong said she recognised that hardship may be brought to his partner and reduced the sentence by four weeks.
