Carabao Cup
Am i right in thinking that because we finished the highest of the relegated teams that we still receive a bye into the second round whereas Watford and Norwich start in the first?

Re: Carabao Cup
We will just have to remember though that if we have a cup run and beat a team from a division higher it isn't anything to enjoy it just means the opposition didn't take the cup seriously.

Every win is enjoyable especially after the last couple of seasons.

Re: Carabao Cup
Looking forward to not expecting to lose against teams such as Burton Albion. We might actually turn up for some of these games now.

If it is the same as previous years us and Watford start in the 2nd round and Norwich start in round 1.Somethingfishy wrote: ↑Wed May 25, 2022 4:43 amAm i right in thinking that because we finished the highest of the relegated teams that we still receive a bye into the second round whereas Watford and Norwich start in the first?

Re: Carabao Cup
Be good to enjoy a cup run for once, and hopefully the new manager will take cups seriously.
For all his successes this was one area where SD fell badly short I'm afraid.
Best we managed under him was LC round 4. FA Cup round 5, and the manner of many of those exits was embarrassing.
